you couldn't handle the fast rides on tuesday and wednesday so you decided to have your own ride on thursday? there's an actual race there is a sunday. you could find out what it's like to be real racer.

Exactly. We are racing mtb's on Sunday at the Superbowl of NY/NJ MTB races.
 
this looks like fun. i'll be there one day in my baggies and visored helmet continually slamming a mountain dew can against my forehead. drunk.
 
oddly enough, this may be one of the first times I have been moved here. I give Ben the credit though.

EDIT, my one on 03/31 may have been the first, didn't realize that was moved. Closer to getting banned again than I think it would seem.

Of course he can't be compared to Merckx. Just like Armstrong shouldn't be. Cavendish focuses on too narrow a discipline to be considered in the same league as guys that won Grand Tours. He is the fastest guy of his generation, by a mile. Is everyone that takes a view that's different to your own deemed petulant? I'd call that patriarchal. Let it go.

I know AC isn't racing the Vuelta, I was really just referencing the spirit in which he seems to race.

I'll be following it on Universal.

I know people like to "discuss" statistics and Ali vs. Jack Johnson what ifs. But the only thing Cav leaves debatable is how would he fare against guys from previous generations. He's beaten everyone of this generatio , consistently and under a multitude of circumstances. What's left to debate? I've never really understood the American habit of dividing most athletes into heroes and villains. If that's all this is, happy days; but ignoring the results for the sake of partisan discussion is petulant.

Then you never really want to "discuss" anything on any terms but your own. I'm sorry if your new fascination with road racing leaves you feeling out of your depth, and Wikipedia doesn't always come through for you. You act like a fucking baby in the face of anything you consider dissent. I've seen you do it time and again. Sometimes it's funny, but mostly it's sad. Please delete my account. Al, it's not a discussion when 1 person says something and the other just says, "no, you're wrong," and refuses to have a discussion about it. This is what's irritating to me.

Sorry if I come off harsh here, but you refuse to bend at all about anything, and you refuse to admit anyone else might have any point in the topic. So to me, it sounds like you're just saying: STFU and sit down. That approach is never going to go over well. You can hardly call them "terms" when the terms are: I'm right and you're wrong. That's a great premise for a discussion.

If you had a problem with me before, you should have said something. Personally I think you're misreading much of what I'm saying but I know I'm not going to convince you. So I'm not going to try. The evidence is clear in this thread, when I admit that I really don't know and am asking for clarification. I suspect you see it a different way. Again, that's fine.
