Sunday bfat tour heading to CR

glad everybody enjoyed the ride. Looks like everybody had fun.
Its a good thing there was a big group ride, all that wind on Sat probably blew the leaves onto the trails.
Hopefully the train of rides blew some off... lol

I had a great time today. Big thanks to Mattybfat for throwing John under the bus and publicizing this ride. And thanks to John for steppin up and leading. Despite all the carnage I think everyone had a blast.
Here's the ride start to finish with a second lap on Blue @ the end.

I had a great time on the ride today. I will have to keep the bfat tour on my radar from now on. I can probably be talked into leading @ Hartshorn/Huber if there is any interest.

Never been so it should be, I need to do some more of the southern parks...

Great ride today guys and thanks to John for heading it up.

I'm hoping my new bike comes soon as I think ye olde HT Mongoose is stating to show it's age. I cleaned the bike when I got back and it's amazing how much mud and guck can get on the chain, in the derailleur, etc - might explain all the chain suck I was dealing with though I learned the neat trick of riding, feeling the chain suck, pedaling backwards, then pedaling forwards with the chain re-engaged - I probably added a half mile of back pedaling to the ride.

I also had the joy of feeling the full compression of the fork and then realizing that a major rebound was a bout to happen (gee - what were we thinking with 2" and springy rebounding back in the day?)

All the same a great day of riding - always better to be in the woods and on a bike. Especially enjoyed the bonus lap on the blue trail.

Oh...as for Ringwood...I'm sure a bunch of us can more or less lead with reasonable chance of getting lost in the adventure and finding the way back.
Thinking leaving from Lot C

Cyclopath we need to see pics of that bruise you will be growing!

It's not for the faint of heart.
If you must... http://www.mtbnj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14498&page=4
If it gets prettier, I'll be sure to let you know.

John, you're a sport. Mort, thanks for leading the fractured five and for tech support. Mike, don't worry, it really wasn't your fault it flatted again😀. Ian? I owe you a tube, thanks for the loaner and I hope your ankle is better.

great time ( all 4+ hours 😉 )...

the ankle will be ok... it's Louis btw and you're welcome for the tube...

Put in the books this was the largest bfat tour of record...20+ peeps kudos to all who made it out. Groups did split up which worked for all and yes their were some bike explosions but all in all a good time. Note to self need to wear a mouthpiece for CRock, damn there is not a smooth trail in that whole joint. Thank you Mr. John Baumann for taking the lead and Cyclopath we need to see pics of that bruise you will be growing! Mike thank you for the extra tube, now you are gonna have to come to the mooch soon to get it back. Thinking Ringwood for the next bfat train...Pics to follow and Thanks to all again!

good time... nice to be included in this one and meet some new folks... Sourlandz would be the next logical venue:hmmm: although it could also be a lot tougher to keep a crew together and keep limbs intact🙁
