We deeply understand the draw to the ocean, especially as a means to relieve stress in trying times. However, as of April 6th, at least 311 million people in at least 41 states, three counties, eight cities, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are being urged to stay home.
San Diego Lifeguard Chief James Gartland, in an article published on Surfline on Wednesday April 1, said: “By going out and surfing, you’re putting the lifeguard at risk, you’re putting the firemen at risk if you get injured, you’re putting the police officer who has to come and enforce it at risk. And then if you end up in the hospital, you’re taking a bed away from someone who might need it more than you.”
There are many asymptomatic folks out there who can spread this thing -- even you. Check out coronavirus.gov, follow the guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and please review the latest beach closure information in your area.
We all need to act in the most socially responsible manner possible to bring an end to this once-in-a-generation pandemic.
And for us that means, at least for now, shred at home. Here’s a collection of stories, features and videos to help keep the stoke alive.

Its NJ the roads are so bad that pretty much any road in in the state can be qualified as gravel...
Saw State Park Police trying to tape off lots and entrances to D&R. people were still out there. One piece of tape had been ripped open by the time I passed by in the other direction on Canal Rd. Good luck to them in keeping that tape up.
I think garmin maintains some dirt road data, but like all of their data, it is 'ok' at best

Ride any of the dirt roads in Brendan Byrne or Wharton, there's literally hundreds of miles of dirt there. The're actually considered roads and not trails so its somewhat a loophole that plated/street legal dirt bikes can also ride. Park at the strip mall at the corner of 70/539 in Pemberton and enter through the power line trail.

look out for the 5-oh in Raritan 🙂: This closure includes Blackwell Park, Clover Hill Park, Lenape Park, Lone Cedar Park/Nature Preserve, Micek Farm Park, Mine Brook Park, Morales Nature Preserve, Urbach Farm and Walnut Brook Preserve.
NJ State Sen Kip Bateman is making the argument that if there is less space to go, it will force people into a smaller space.
That it actually may make it worse, cause people are still going to go out.
Get em Kip!
No driving to a park, you must ride or walk.
No congregating

He used to have a house not far from me but I believe he lives in Colts Neck now. He did a great Halloween display/walk in his side yard years ago opened to anyone. I always thought that was cool of his family and him.

Rumson is a town small enough that you could sneeze while driving your car and practically drive thru and is right across the water from Hartshorne Woods. My wife's family is from here.
And I am certainly guilt-by-association to BMX (especially old and mid school) hence I know exactly what your screen name means! I ran Tioga and Thun cranks back in the old days and have lots of love of Ashtubula 😉

yep... thats a perfect review of the rekon lol. i wish i had the forkaster on the back too but i dont want to replace a fairly new tire. honestly not a fan of the rekon, seems to get rave reviews too
