I rode yesterday, will ride again today. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. That said, the humidity layer under the canopy was thick and the streams were all running hard. Today should be even better

Just got back. I started at ryerson and did renegade to fire road, to white trail. Then went to skylands trail and came back on red. Park was pretty good. There was a few wet spots with running water but nothing to stop you from going. Enjoy..What part of the park did you ride?
Uhmm, I had to look it up, I wasn't aware Cat's Nest was called Renegade...Thanks.Just got back. I started at ryerson and did renegade to fire road, to white trail. NJ.com says so, NOAA says 6”…either way it was metric s&@t ton of water! Is this really correct?
I believe you. It definitely rained a s*it ton, no doubt. Just sounds like a crazy amount.NJ.com says so, NOAA says 6”…either way it was metric s&@t ton of water!
I also call it Renegade. Great trail.I know it as renegade too. Was called Renegade originally, I still call it Renegade.. Cats Nest as a trail name bothers me, it makes no sense, what is a cats nest? But I digress….
Ryerson to NY, and Ryerson up in the bridges area and by Weble, including Renegade, white trail from warm puppy up past weble, Skylands trail, it’s all good to go.
I guess it is us old-timers, I mean, people who have been riding here for quite a while the ones that know it as Renegade 😛I also call it Renegade. Great trail.

Not sure if they 'nest' all year round but sure enough they do shortly before giving birth, usually in a closet on top of your most expensive shoes...Cats in the wild will make a nest to live in. dat's why
