Question about cold and Carbon parts.

There are 2 Luke's posting in this thread.
Which is odd, I'm usually alone 😀
Guy I met last night and started riding with has a son named Luke as well. WTF is going on here? I enjoy only having a first name 🙂

Do you happen to have a sister named Leah? Where I grew up there was a brother/sister in town with that name combo.

I was thinking along similar lines but figured Luke had heard enough throughout life. The chances of me coming up with something new and worthwhile were pretty slim. I decided not to bother with a SW related comment.

This makes me think of the Cheech and Chong skit when they are getting ready to go to the star wars party.

Norm, no but I have a brother named Ben.

And a 29er probably would have hurt more since I would have fallen further 🙂
Actually hitting the ground was fine. It was my knee smashing my stem which hurt the most. I have really really really sensitive knees ever since a Camry smashed into me about 4 years ago.

So as it turns out it was a bad idea to go riding tonight. It was a nice swim though, thankfully I drove over but I had to drive home pretty much nude. 😀

Oh yeah I also discovered that my front wheel is destroyed from my crash. I think it's fixable but definately not ridable.
Thank god they are 819 or I'm sure they would be taco's

Does it become and issue with riding in the cold with carbon or carbon frames in general? Is there a point it just not a good idea to ride, when it is in 40's?😕

up here ALOT of the winter racing crowd uses carbon because it doesn't retain the cold as much as any of the available metal parts do. it's performed flawlessly under very strenuous conditions down into the -40's and beyond. cold will not affect carbon, ye ken?

Dude!!!!!

We all saw a dude at the 40 today with a full carbon cannondale that was practically cut in half...and it was hot today so maybe its heat and trees that have catastrophic effects on carbon parts... I think adam has a picture
