Post your BooBoo's

All stitched up! Not looking fwd to numbness wearing away.

Thanks for the sympathies lol

How many ? I got 5 last summer when I sliced my thumb open. And lost 10 days of perfect mid July riding weather.

Pro tip - you can take 3 Extra strength Tylenol or Advil same as Rx level

I didn’t even look closely. I’m just disappointed in myself. Didn’t look like much. Will count when I change bandaids tomorrow but Dr had to stitch through my nail. He said it was tricky to stop the bleeding

Been pretty lucky…. I’ve never gotten stitches before. It’s normal to have some blood on bandage, right?

I wasn’t even under the influence!

they gave me Rx ibuprofen when I had the shingles. I’m like WTF is this. This is only 3 Advil’s.

Same here until last July.

Sound like yours was more tricky. It will bleed a little first few days. Keep changing the bandages every morning and evening. I was soaking my thumb in peroxide and then drying it and covering it a lot of triple antibiotic ointment. Then with kind of a loose fitting non stick gauze and then tape around The outside. Need to keep it protected and clean but also don’t make it sealed up that the air can’t let it heal. Hard to explain here but hope that helps.

At the urgent care office they made me practice doing it on my good thumb doc was great about it. Told me the most important thing is to not get it infected. Sounds obvious but too many people blow it off once it feels better.

The first 3-4 days I was in agony it kept throbbing but it faded enough with the Advil or Tylenol to keep it manageable.

Good luck.

I had 10 stitches in my leg a few months ago that got infected. It was not a fun experience. 3 rounds of antibiotics and basically felt like I had the flue for a month, which is not a good look when you go to work and everyone thinks you have covid....
