Colonoscopy prep day. Sitting on the crapper time:

1 bonus pt for eating nothing on superbowl Sunday except 2 lemon Italian water ices. Plus 1 bonus pt for correctly predicting (in my head) that the patsies would come back and win after they were down 28 - 9.

Colonoscopy day. Total time at Surgicare in Warren either waiting, sedated under propofol with a 2 ft snake up my ass, or recovering:

Rode slowly through five parks on a sunny day on the way to pick up the truck from Lou's.

2/5/2017: Hike with wife and daughter...no points, but a nice time together with a story at the end

2/6/2017: Rockland Preserve in Madison, CT. Had to make a road trip, so brought the bike with me. Read about this place on Singletracks and then found a very good map on-line. http://www.madisonct.org/DocumentCenter/View/727 I figured with a map this good, it must be reasonably well marked. The map was better than the trail markings, but it was hard to get lost. Great place! If you happen to be passing through, definitely worth stopping in to check it out. I rode about 9 miles and based on the map, there was probably another 10 miles of trails. Lots of trail features, table-tops, drops, rock features, skinnies, etc.

Moving time: 2:00:04 (didn't plan that, just a pure fluke)

It's hard NOT to take a trail that has this sign. So, I took it. It wasn't that bad. Overall, conditions ranged from what you see in the pic, to solid snow cover on "Dark Side", which you guessed it...is northern exposure.

I think we're going to take your word for it!

2/7 - Tempo Tuesday

1:40:05 - First real attempt at a workout since August. I wasn't planning on doing a workout this morning because the weather was initially calling for rain this am. Popped out of bed, didn't see any signs of rain, switched up my plan and decided to get a tempo work out in this morning. Results were favorable for the first week in February so I'm happy with the effort and how I felt. Now I can go back to just riding around and having fun for the rest of the week.
