i killed my buddha

there is a saying that if you meet the buddha on the road, kill him. well, my "buddha" for the past month or so has been cracking into the 30+ mile range on a road ride. well, buddha killed!

unfortunately motionbased is slower than whale dump right now as everyone from DC to Boston is uploading their day. when the hampster wheel over there starts spinning again i'll post the data. i'm really psyched to have done this and i'm very curious to see what my avg. moving speed was since i had to make a couple pit stops to pick up a water bottle, answer my phone/check email (i am actually gainfully employed, shocking as it may be) and talk to my wife.

edit: hampster wheel finally spinning, data:

on the water bottle note, i'm pretty sure at this point i made the 100% correct decision by leaving marty's (in randolph). i walked in and stood at the register for a few minutes while three folks (two of which absolutely saw me) kept right on doing what they were doing. i know heythorp has his issues with cycle works but i honestly couldn't be happier with them. they'll get 99% my business for as long as i'm in the area.

thanks AoN. it was and is a big deal at least for me.

i really could have, and wanted to push into the 40 range. but, i told the wife i would be gone for two- two and a 1/2 hours. it's better not to worry the wife.

some day, in the distant future, young AON, you too will learn this. do NOT upset the force.

HA..."The force" im gonna tell her that. Yes i know. I try to pick and choose how much i test the force.

Although i do manage upsetting it quite often. Ill find a balance at some point.

As for today, no force to be reckoned so im going to ride bikes! Be back later!

got out for a low key recovery ride today. just spun around the road for awhile on the mary. data:

Must you..

i declare...

Lewis Morris officially OPEN for the season! yes, that's right...OPEN (as if you needed me or jorba to tell you that). there are a couple of spots (on the "race" loop) you should probably get off the bike and walk (which i did) but other than that, the place is ALL GOOD. the green trail(?) where the bridges are may be the only exception. there is actually more water on PP then anywhere in LM.

saw a few folks out enjoying the great day and AWESOME conditions...damn near perfect...but NOT weirwolf condtions. the fuel was fun as hell to ride. i forget how much i like that bike...soo fast...and the velicoraptors were flawless. not a twitch. so much nicer riding on grippy skins.

at any rate, pull almost 17 miles. prolly my longest mtb ride without stopping ever. i dropped to the granny twice, on the same hill, but hey...it's MARCH! i'm way, way past where i was when i raced there last year. felt great to get out. can't wait 'til the weekend!
