It’s nice to see responses from you the listeners. I was beginning to think no one was checking out the station. Your voice matters, if you like what you hearing let us know or let us know who your digging on right now. There are going to be a lot more special features in the future so as always stay tuned for more great music ahead.

Mike posted up a live clip of Stay with Me that was incredible. Listening to this stuff and seeing live video is ecstasy for me. The interaction amongst the band as well as Rod’s stage presence makes seeing the vid as awesome as hearing it.

I believe that art is a product of the environment and conscientiousness of the times. What this means is that music made in a particular era is unique to that time. Just like Impressionist painters where unique to the 19th century. Rock music made in the 1970’s can’t be recreated because it was a product of the times. Musicians at this time where no more talented than musicians today but rather the approach to music was different.

Rod Stewart always had talent as Velocity Boy points out, but his talent was most evident in the 1970’s. Like any true icon he was the right man at that time in an environment conducive to some funky rock & roll.

Thanks for the checking in guys, it's much appreciated. I am always interested in what you folks are listening to. It seems that Ron C is a metal head with his Queensryche Vid post. I can't really comment on this because we're an alt/college radio based station. Vreeland wanted someone to take over a metal station. What do you say Ron (mr program director), how does MTBGrinder Radio sound. Walter will help you with your spelling.

There was a shout out about the Smithereens. Yeah these guys are local, they play at the Union Co. Musicfest like every year...fun band.

FFT posted up something from Archive. Wow these guys blew me away, checking out their bio the band has had a lot of personnel changes over the years and the sound of their music has evolved as well. They will be our featured musicians this evening. Good call my crack loving whore friend.

As mentioned tonight's broadcast will spotlight Archive. If you want to google these guys type archive the band...otherwise you get a bunch of obscure archives that show up. The band is based out of London and they released a new album about a year ago and have been touring extensively in Europe.
Some of the words I use to describe their sound are; Introspective, Theatrical, Powerful, Beautiful. But what the fuck do I know, take a listen for yourself.

Iggy..if your really diggin archive I suggest downloading live from the zenith from itunes...and rip a recent live recording of pills
