more weird stuff at 6mi

The creepiest thing I've seen at 6MR, no make that my entire life, is that house near the Jacques Ave. lot. Go inside, I dare you!

Someone made a video on that house some time ago, it was pretty neat. I don't know if I'm oblivious or just focused, but I've never seen this place...where is it?

If its the house Im thinking of, you actually have to make a left out of the lot onto the road and its down on your left. I usually pass it during my 6 Miles cyclocross extravaganzaas

That was a great video!! My son and I strolled in there one day to check it out. We heard a huge bang while we were in the living room and we both thought someone had entered the house and slammed the door. Nope...noone there, that was enough for me!

Yodelers?

You can add a dozen or so dudes singing in the parking lot at 10 pm to the list. 😀
Was that any of you on here?

I was there Sunday, on the red close to 27 lot I came across what looked like either an eastern religion type statue or a hello kitty type toy sitting in the middle of the trail, nobody around. Didn't touch it, who knows what it was, I dont need anymore bad luck.

I am pretty sure that there is more going on in this area than you might suspect at 1st glace.

Consider that this has become a green oasis in suburbia and that there are so few places to truly escape from the insanity.

I have spent countless early mornings out in the woods by myself w/a sincere feeling that I was being watched.

This time of year there are hunters everywhere and for sure they are seeing us more than we are seeing them.

I still doubt that anyone can top the dude I saw running with his pants at his ankles.

You'd all be surprised at what goes on in the woods. as mtn bikers we should all know this though. I grew up with a house that was on the edge of the woods with connector trails that led to my back yard.

ah, the ol ginker pit in east Brunswick.... :getsome:

I got a creepy feeling out by the stream crossing by the climbing wall, this was in August around late afternoon, thought I saw something in the tall grass, I didn't wait to see, most likely nothing, but I still say I saw something.

For certain

jdog - would you say that "spook central" is along the orange trail in the circled area?.....

That's where all the weirdos get lost. They're too busy trying to be weird so they don't pay enough attention to find their way out.

thats where I get the "someone is watching me" feeling

funny - when its dark, i'm usually good in the twisties. where i get creeped (when solo) is that trail intersection after the gasline (the one where if you turned left you'd end up at the climbing wall, but go if you go straight you end up crossing the large bridge over the stream). sometimes i'll stop for a drink there. i have stop doing that. maybe that's where the weirdos finally find their way out?

i hit a PR record on strava about two weeks ago on blue after getting spooked. something large was in the stream at the bridge crossing and started splashing around when i came down off the hill :scared: i put the pedal to metal. creep factor = speed.
