Gravel bike recommendations...

This is a huge point of debate right now....I'd say something like a 45c is good for Bedminster where you're going to end up on the road plenty but having the option of running 2.2" XC tires is a baseline for me to consider a new gravel bike. Plenty of gravel warrants it.
I'll end up on the road a bit so I am good with something smaller. Do you need to swap rims on most to get XC tires on them?

Anything with a 25mm Internal Diameter rim should be fine to run up to 2.2" tires. Anything smaller and you can get a bit of a balloon effect and get kind of squirmy.

Just run lighter XC rims for everything. I have Stan's Podiums on my Fuji and I'm running the 43 Panaracer Gravelking slicks, they measure out to around 45. Works fine on the gravel around Bedminster and roll good on the road also.

Tell me you listen to the bonk bros podcast without telling me you listen to the bonk bros podcast. 😆

I ride Bedminster on 32s

It's not that you can't....you can ride gravel on 23's if you really want. It's just proven to be slower and more uncomfortable.

The first time I tried gravel was on 32's on a Diverge back in 2018. I swore it off, what a dumb discipline. Fast forward to this year riding 47's, put in more miles on gravel than I did singletrack or road. Much more enjoyable with all the washboards and potholes.
