Oh. The C&O. We did a good chunk last year in the opposite direction. It’s a trail from Pittsburgh to DC. Super popular touring destination. Most people take 5-7 days and sightsee and shit.
I did this ride from DC to Pittsburgh about 12 years ago. It was rainy and muddy on the C&O. Riding over the Eastern Continental Divide was a little anticlimactic, but it was a fun trip nonetheless. What is the GAP/CO?
What?
Looks good to me
Yup that’s true.I am told there is good MTB riding in the Ohiopyle area.
Yup that’s true.
Ohiopyle itself has good handmade singletrack riding and some new machine built trails. Lots of elevation. A few ppl who have done tour divide that I’ve met train around there and work at the local outfitters- Wilderness Voyagers.I need more info. That area of the world is now on my RADAR.
I’ll DM you some example routes.
This blows my mind. I met Major Taylor at one of the WVa Mtn Series races in the 80’s. Crazy…So my Fire Tower Brevet attempt got postponed because my wife had a convention that I forgot about. We have until October 31 to do it so not a big deal. I worked on my car for 2 days and got caught up on a lot of projects.
Then I rode all the E-Bikes.

Then I did the Major Taylor Wednesday ride and averaged 28mph along Canal Road for being a loser and riding e-bikes too many days.

I’m working 2 weeks straight to take a 4-day block off next week. I’m doing one of the 2 Catskills rides. I’m not sure which one. I’ll keep an eye on the temps. If it’s hot I’ll do the Bikepacking Route to stay in the woods more…
Couple rookie mistakes led to a long night.
