Darkhorse gallop!

Id keep riding!!

Any suggestions on tire inflation for tomorow, I got my ars kicked at Tymor, and would love some helpful hints for mud-boggin

seriously?? :hmmm: or are you trying to gain an advantage?? :getsome:

There's a school of thought that says this is the right way to go. There's another that says just ride your bike really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

I talked to Maddawg a few minutes ago and he did a pre-ride of the course. He said it was fine and sent me this pic:

That's what I'm going to do tomorrow based on my experience from Williams last Sunday. My tire is 2.1 and with good knobs spacing to dig in to get traction. If I keep lower pressure tire will not dig in, will just keep spinning...

Great minds 😀

I think you will need narrow tire and higher pressure to cut through mud to gain some traction.

Uh...that goes against what everyone else thinks. 🙄

A wider tire and lower pressure increase the tire's contact patch with the ground. Therefore providing more traction. The lower pressure will also absorb more of the bumps, etc. This keeps the tire in contact with the ground more.

I cleaned my bike today. I was very bored.

I have heard the narrow tire theory before. It does make sense but your whole course would probably need to be peanut butter for it to work. Maybe ya'll could bring your cross bike 🙄

Well, I can't see how wider tire with low pressure can give you better traction in deep mud. Tire would need to penetrate mud to dig in solid ground. Soft tire can't do that...but hey! What do I know, this will be my only second race in such conditions.

The theory works fine but the reality is that only a tiny fraction of the course will be deep mud - maybe a few hundred yards worth. The rest may very well be slick but not "deep mud" or anything.
