Jump on a road bike... the entire ride around LBI is like 20miles... good times...

No roadie, but I do ride my back-up mtb.
i'm pretty much located in center of Island,so a ride to Holgate or The Lightouse will make it a 19 mi ride. Hit Wharton for the first time yesterday.Did the 19+ loop from the lot, not bad.Pretty flat as I assumed.But tight vegetation on all the twisties makes it quite interesting.It's only 35 min. from LBI, so may hit it more often. Pouring down here now, so no ride today.How's the Edison area?

I'l be in LBI Sunday to Monday... I plan on riding my usual route when I'm down there... Head north out of my house to see ole Barney then down to Holgate and back

6 mile conditions.

I hit most of the park today, and I would guess it was 90% fine. There were some slimy sections, and a few wet corners (mostly on Orange). There is one deep mud pit on blue that almost ate my bike. (it was just past where blue and red split, right after the low wood bridge) and there are some fallen trees in the way on blue (where the trail runs along the edge of the field, not far from the farm).

insanely good conditions today. one or two wet corners, but otherwise perfect, even a little too dry in spots. i did the whole enchilada. as long as we only have a random passing thunderstorm as precip, i'm sure the place will be good to go all week.

That downed tree was at a 60 degree angle in front of a super fast entrance to a jump. I wont miss that thing.

Started late and only made it to So. Middlebush... I found myself in a thunderstorm under powerlines, yikes... The condition were as published in previous posts but the for coming couple of weeks don't look good so I'm glad I got out

6 miles is a strange beast

i was out with tommy yesterday - parts of it were bone dry, borderline dusty and then other parts were still damp and wet...

another weird thing, i saw more boyfriend/girlfriend couples that one day then i've seen the last two months. go figure.
