Can we get an update on what conditions might be for Saturday's group ride? How much rain did you get down south? Rained pretty hard a few times overnight up north, nothing is ridable up here.
I made other plans/I didn’t think this would possibly happen with this much rain… But maybe I’m wrong I’m wrong a lot

Check back here this evening for the status of tomorrow's ride.

Terrible by the lake. Many places super greasy right now. The recent warm temps may help but I would avoid right this moment.

Here right now, everything is pretty much dry, just a two or three soft spots in the entire park. Except for the pond. Do not go by the pond. Maybe if flooded or whatever, but the grassy area is underwater and you will perish there.

There's pretty much nothing the TM crew can do for the run by the lake.... and its pretty much horrible all the time, and now almost impassable.

Not sure it'll help, but squeaky wheels get solutions. If we get enough visibility about the issue maybe the park system will consider options beyond what our crew can do with shovels and rakes. Here is a link to the feedback form.... i highly recommend saying how bad it is "hiking" through that section right now (and maybe some kudos for the work on the rest of the trails 😉)

First round of TM on that section that's always wet on the short connecting trail just before the bridge....

Also decided to do an inside nick on one of our turns that started holding water now that the tread is becoming compacted and not letting water through. This was an earlier re-route where we should have gone slightly wider to have the trail go straight through this low spot. Will monitor, and if it needs consistent attention it'll be a pretty easy adjustment.... For now it'll ride really great though 😁

Small but mighty crew! We'll be out there again next Wednesday, May 29, if anyone is looking to dig

Rode this place every which way (20 miles) this morning, and it was a lovely fall ride.

I haven’t been riding here much in recent years, but want to give major props to @Matt_ and his crew of happy trail shapers. I really enjoyed all of the work that’s been done.

Thanks dude!! I have some of the most dedicated and hard workers helping make it all possible, and also giving me great feedback/ideas on the projects for the park.

@Purl 👀

Thinking tomorrow (Wednesday 11/27) may be last call for me before freeze / thaw arrives… 😠 Any predictions of conditions after the rain we got this am?

Clayton doesn't really have have bad freeze/thaw issues. Most of the park drains well and is fairly sandy
