Breaking Bad

Nice, in the slow down you can see him look down at the box then do a quick glance up to the roof.

Finally got a chance to see the new episode; it did not disappoint.

I can't wait to find out what Walt did that would cause his neighbor to freeze in terror at the sight of him. My suspicion is that he faked his death after being exposed.

My wife wants to take a moonlight stroll down the promenade in Long Branch tonight; have some dinner, listen to the band, buy the kids a couple of chocolate covered apples etc. Looks like I've got to pull the old fake belly-ache Hank style so I can stay home and watch BB.

Walt comes back after his 52nd birthday, buys the semi automatic shotgun at Denee's to free Jesse from the white supremacists. And dies in the process. My prediction.

Why even bother predicting at this point? Until last week, I was convinced that Hank would be left standing in the end somehow. I'm just going to enjoy this ride.

And how about Walt pulling off one selfless act in who knows how long? And I don't mean leaving Holly in the fire engine. I mean basically getting Skyler off the hook with that phone call. He made her sound like a prisoner of his actions with that speech. And you know he knew what he was doing. Walt's always been smarter than those around him, and last night he proved that he could use that for something good. And I think Skyler knew it, too. She basically gave him the clue that the police were listening by saying he had to tell her where Hank was. That scene and the scene between Skyler and Marie left me numb. Just intense stuff.

It's definitely hard to predict, but I don't see Walt coming back to save Jesse under any circumstances. I'd say it's more likely that the white supremacists are going to go after Walt's family, so he gets a big gun to wipe them out to try and protect them. Maybe Walt got the ricin to give it to Jesse to end his pain, otherwise I think he's gonna end up eating it himself.

Great take on it, I didn't put this together. I was wondering why he would ask if the cops were there, he would have to know they were. Makes much more sense now.

I feel like like they gave us so much, but nothing at all. I don't know how they're going to wrap this up in 1 hour.

I was really shocked to see Gretchen and Elliott again. It makes sense, though -- no better way to realistically awaken Walt's megalomania. That's just brilliant writing by Gilligan to bring them back into the picture. At this point, I think a lot of the gaps have been filled in and there is only a few major questions remaining. The major plot points that were filled in:

First, all along we've been assuming that the Aryans or some other group out to get Walt were the ones who trashed his house and wrote Heisenberg on the wall, but it turns out it's so much simpler than that -- it was the the same kids you see skateboarding in the pool who just did it as run of the mill vandallism on a condemned house. And it makes sense since now everyone knows Walt was Heisenberg (sh*t -- even Charlie Rose refers to him as Heisenberg!)

Second, we now know where Skyler is during that teaser scene when Walt shows up at the house. She's living in a cheap apartment trying to make ends meet working part-time.

Third, we know that the Aryans weren't stupid and were planning on getting out of the drug trade once they had Walt's money, but Todd (who was described perfectly by Jesse on the tape he made for Hank -- the dead-eyed psycho comment -- that's so spot on) wants to stay close to Lydia.

Anyway, as I see it, the main questions now are:
(1) Will Walt kill Jesse when he goes back to kill the Aryans?
(2) Is he even going back to kill the Aryans? Or did that interview set him off and now he's going to try to kill Elliott and Gretchen?
(3) What ultimately becomes of Jesse? Suicide? Can he escape? Does he even want to?

And they have an hour and a half or so next week to sew it all up. Wow.

Yeah I thought it was pretty brilliant plot twist... just after Walt decides to turn himself in once Flynn tells him to fuck off... Gretchen and Elliot appear on TV to send Walt back into full blown Heisenberg mode.

Ricin sandwich for Gretchen & Elliott?
Walt & Jesse team up to get revenge on Jack and Co.? And if so, then what?
Why do I sense that Flynn has a big role yet to play?

One more week to enjoy the ride...

If the finally is anything like the other 62 episodes it will be real head spinner. Theres no way to guess whats next, thats what makes it so fun to watch.
