Biggest loser

Well very hesitant about this post but here it is 90 day transformation... like I said above works not done yet but almost there!! Hopefully some motivation for others View attachment 182116View attachment 182117
Also In the werewolf club so I can relate.

I only have a few pics of my face from way back when I was nearly 300 lbs but the cycling pics from 10+ years ago to now really tell the story.

Congrats on the transformation significant difference for sure. Keep it up it’s a lifestyle now not a diet. 👍🏻👊🏻

No before pics for me mmmmmkay.
Jumped the gun on the midterm 180 like I knew I did, and after the Kelly’s debacle Friday finished up on 181 today. Still down -24 and staying positive. 36 waist pants are in sight.

The Barker is still sweeping my quarter down into the hole with all the others, but I’m confident the wheel of misfortune will come up 17X next Sunday.

April 1st has come and gone and I haven't reached my goal weight of 175. It's been a half assed attempt at best, but I did manage to get down to 179.6. I did get into a pretty good routine for several weeks with cycling, running, and swimming, but my diet never really got to where I wanted it. And then the training took a little bit of a hit this past week. I wanted to give my body some rest to help get rid of this head cold I've had for a couple weeks, and I got started on replacing my HVAC system. Furnace was up and running in a day, but I needed to run all new piping for the AC side, which I haven't finished yet. Hopefully I'll wrap the whole thing up on Monday and can get myself back on track with new goals. Down 13.1 lbs from Jan 1st, going for another 15.

New goal: <170 (hopefully 165) by June 1st.
New start weight: 179.6

Going to continue with the swim, bike, run stuff.
TrainerRoad Monday Wednesday and Friday. Run and swim on Tuesday and Thursday. The weekends are usually consumed with family obligations, but I'll try and squeeze some exercise in there when I can. I do want to add weights and yoga into the mix as well, but having two insane toddlers tend to take up most of my time and energy so I'm not sure how I can get them into a solid routine without overloading myself yet.
Gotta ease my way back to a good diet again. If I go too strict too fast it always backfires and I go on a week long binge, lol. I think I'll get my sprout garden back up and running again, maybe tonight, they are always good to shove down my throat when I'm feeling hungry for no good reason.

While I have been taking pics weekly when weighing and taking measurements, not ready to share any just yet. Maybe after April 30th. Also a member of the hair sweater club.

1/3
Start: 178
Goal: under 170

Plan: the last quarter of 2021 had the lowest riding hour totals in a loooong time. Mainly because I was working on two new trails in two different parks. With the return of frozen soil, my volume will likely go up just naturally. Also less snacking and continuing to build up my core strength work.
Final weigh in 175.5. Well, didn’t make it however I didn’t really change anything.
As usual, intensity usually goes up in March and I did manage 45 hours riding. Also, been doing a lot of trail work and did 10-15 hours in March also.
I have keep up with the core workouts, which is noticeable on the bike, especially the road bike.
Kudos to everyone that stuck with it.

165.8 again today. I'm going to attempt to break that. Rather...Wildcat will probably break that. I'm heading there after work for a 2-3 hour ride. Seems like another mini-pleateau. My body seems to like dropping to a number, hanging there for a few days, then breaking through and dropping some more. I feel like I'm on the edge of another drop.

164.4 this morning. Wildcat weightloss is real(Almost 3k climbing in 15 miles can do that)! Round this! GOAL MET!!!

Start: 206.4
Today: 164.4
Progress: -42.0

I still can't believe I made this happen. I've got more work to do but that's a huge win for me. People are starting to notice too. Thanks @Robin!

dang! Unfortunately I didn't experience the WC weightloss luck! Great seeing you yesterday!

OK losers I finally figured it out. Not recommended to anyone, but here's how I did it.

Mix one part family emergency ( I'll spare you the details) with one part sniffles and congestion getting passed round in my house (all testing negative😉 and I'm down almost 9 lbs in the last 2 days. Of course all I've eaten in those 2+ days is a bowl of cereal and 1/2 slice pizza (which made me puke.)

Shattered that 17X barrier and annihilated the shards. Don't try this at home, cause it sucks...
I'm sure as I start getting back to normal, I'll put a few back on by weigh in Sunday, but this is the lightest I've been in 30+ years.
So take the bad with the good and make it work for you.

Onwards.

Yeah, not the best weigh to do it.

Having had some nerve issues in a bad place since last season, I took quite a break from the pedals. I still put some time in at the home gym and yoga studio but man did I get the mid 50s spare tire. 4 weeks ago I picked up a 5 juice cleanse/fast what have you. 6-12 oz bottles a day, about 800 calories. It's not just the juice part, but it really made me reset my eating and drinking habits. I've barely had alcohol since starting. From a drink every night down to maybe 2 a week (that's barely in my family) and seemingly heading towards not being interested. I've been replacing martinis with kombucha - go figure. I don't eat in the mornings now and have primarily salads with some protein for lunch, maybe a soup. We've always eaten very clean at home. My wife cannot eat mammalian meat so it's a lot of veg and such anyway. Also cut useless sweets; random cookies and shit at work, no ice cream after dinner. I've been getting berries, pineapple and other fruits to have at night instead.
So what did that do? I only know in February I was about 180. I've been checking regularly since I started this last month and I've seen to stabilize at my "typical" weight over the last few years at 169. Back when I did the Mt Washington Hill Climb I dropped under 160; but the wife threatened me with violence if stayed that skinny. Those that know, know I would have a hard chance at 175 let alone 160. Keep on going!

Ok so, finally got through my trip down south, and all the great awesome horrible southern food I missed enough to eat, and thats a long list. I feel like Kramer:

I am at 188 (down from 197) and want to be at 180 by the end of April. On the straight and narrow now for about 8 hours. Im goin in.......

E2M program Round 2, Week 4, Day 6

I'm a day late checking in.
Diet
Meals are still on point with I.F. I did contact the coaches about how to handle fueling for longer rides (2-4hrs) that start while in the fasting window. Got a quick reply and was told to have a serving of carbs during the early meals the day before. Break the fast before the ride with a meal and fuel during the ride like I normally would. Worked well yesterday during a 3hr ride at Wissahickon on the new bike. Cheat meal was at another long-time local with my parents, Mulligan's. I had the Pike Burger: lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, PORK ROLL, fried onions and provolone. It did not suck!

Exercise
Continuing with the plan circuits and finished 11wks of Time Crunched Cyclist interval plan on the spin bike. Will continue to spin, but not so structured and going to mix in some outside rides. As I mentioned, took the new Pivot to Wiss for rocks and climbs. The bike is amazing, but it's been quite some time since I did rocks and climbs like that, and I'm feeling it this morning.

Weight
1/2/22 Starting weight = 235.4
4/2/22 Current weight = 194.4
Diff: weekly down 1.8, total lost = 41
4 more weeks to go in this round. If I'm going to make my goal of 50lbs total, will need to hit some weekly numbers of greater than 1.8lbs. Not a big deal if I don't, but it's definitely possible. Starting to wonder if I do another round, but most likely going to switch to maintenance for the summer. Wife and I were talking about it again yesterday. We will be sticking to this lifestyle change. We're both finding we fit into clothes we haven't worn in a long time. Her more that me as I've been wearing the bigger clothes for so long.

Wife's down again .8lbs, 6.2lbs this round, and a total loss of 20.4lbs.
E2M program Round 2, Week 5, Day 5

Checking in a day early because we're not bringing the scale on a camping trip.
Diet
Had a hungry week, but stuck to the plan. Ate more fruit this week than usual which was allowed. Next week will be different. Going camping this weekend and sticking to the plan as much as possible. Will slip in a few more adult beverages while sitting around the fire.

Exercise
Did all the circuits this week M/W/F. Finished off the 11wk Time Crunched Cyclist plan last week. Easy spins only T/Th. Going to take it easy this weekend camping, just doing some hikes, relaxing, reading and looking at a lake.

Weight
1/2/22 Starting weight = 235.4
4/8/22 Current weight = 193
Diff: weekly down 1.4, total lost = 42.4
Week 5 isn't over yet and sticking to the plan thru Sunday. Week 6-8 will be strict on eating and exercise if I want to get to 50lbs lost. Just 7.6lbs away.

Wife weighed in this morning and she's down 1.4lbs as well. Down 7.6 this round, total loss of 21.8lbs and also 7ish lbs from her goal.
