Any Skiiers/Snowboarders Out There?

The slopes were empty, it's like everyone thinks winter is over or something. I'm fine with that though 😀 And yeah, she holds her own on the board. I can't say how embarrassing it is when your gf can hit something that you can't, but that cannon box intimidated the hell out of me. In my defense I'm on skis, so I can't hit things 50/50, but even so you needed mad speed to clear the jump after it. Also, I'll try to hold on to her, so the fun lasts 🙁

That cannon box looks nuts just from the pics (which always mellow things out) - and yeah it's much harder for rails on skiis - hell it's hard for me on a snowboard. You guys both hold your own on the boards to say the least - great pics and vid of both of you.

Engignar - damn! Great writeup - sounds like you guys hit it at a real good time. I can definitely visualize what you were experiencing and I'm jealous as shit as it sounded so good. I've never been to Utah but have to get out there at some point.

I'm on my way to Stowe for the long weekend (kids have Friday off). They are calling for a fair bit of precip - I just hope it's the white kind...

I should be hitting up Loon in NH this weekend with the boy. They're planning on stating open until April 20th or so. If everything works out right, I should come back with some video from my helmet cam, which is supposed to show up Friday🙂

Just as a heads up, this Sunday is Hunter's bring a season pass from any mountain and ski for free day. I'll be up there, so shoot me a PM if you're going.

Yeah i ski... when i do not break my body off the jumps. Most of the time i waste a lot of money going out West.

I prefer to ski and ride

Skiing and riding is way more fun than mtn biking...

Been boarding since 92, now I just kind of cruise, do dumb stuff like ollies and bonks like I was 17 again. Don't do rails or big hits anymore. For me boarding is more for the scenery and relaxing. Go up north with the boys, have a couple of cold ones. Get the F out of dodge. Allthough I grew up riding Vernon (mt creek) you won't get me to ride there probably ever again. For the first time this season I decided to keep riding through the winter. Boarding doesn't do it for me anymore like biking does.

Terje can kiss his world record goodbye, he got beat by a skier. Go Dumont!

he did it with a cork 900 😀
Don't get me wrong, I think Terje is great, I was just being boastful.

I was supposed to go up to Tuckerman this weekend, however my friend I was going with took a bad crash at Allaire last weekend and will be out for the rest of the ski season.

Cork 9? I'd say that trumps a backside 3. Although Terje's style is worth a lot just itself. It's crazy where things are going both on skis and snowboards. BMX and MTB are kind of the same thing just on dirt, wood and concrete.

Bummer about your friend. Crash at Allaire? I thought that place was pretty mellow - or was it off one the poppers?

Hey glancing aft, nice pic. I just got back form there 2 weeks ago. Not a bad week, no fresh pow but great sunny weather.

Was thinking about heading up to Tucks should have a ton of snow for a while heard there were high avalanche conditions up there last week though.

So did anyone end up making it to Tux this year? How was it?

I have officially called ski season over for me unless somehow I manage to make it to Whistler this summer. Not a bad year, despite this area of the country having questionable conditions at times. I didn't get to travel as much as years past but I still managed to make it out 40 days with my highlights being:
- 5 Days in Whistler, BC
- 1 Day in Arapaho Basin, CO
- 2 Days in Okemo, VT
- 1 Day in Mad River Glen, VT
- 1 Day in Stratton, VT
With the rest all being local in NY, NJ, and PA.

I put together an end of year video with some of the better stuff I got on film if anyone is interested, http://blip.tv/file/911773

Nice vid Will. Looks like you had a great season.

Seeing the shots in trees, reminds me that I do miss skiing powder.
