6th Annual CRANKS AROUND THE CAMPFIRE 8/26-8/28/2016

Good time and great weekend of fun and rides. Big thanks to Dan (and Rich) for putting this on again. Also big thanks to the volunteering boy scouts and staff. Having the kids rides and activities was well received by my crew. The Freise (??) brothers were great and everywhere! From the huge rescue needing ride on Saturday to the top of the iceberg rescue sunday my kids wouldnt have had nearly as good of a time without them.
Looking for a big crew next year!!

Thanks @DanBrodeen and @zip and all the scouts/everyone else involved in putting on this event. Always such an awesome time! Happy to see such a solid turn out this year, I think the secret is finally out.

Thanks @Robson for letting me be a bum and feeding me breakfast Saturday and Sunday.

Can I register for next year yet?

Here's an awesome recap video from Manny of VideoTrailReviews.com!

Sick video @MannyL358!

Thanks for letting us all take part in that, Woody. It was really nicely done. And thanks @pxs231 for leading us around, that was a super fun route!

We ran into you guys on the trail yesterday and rode along for a while. @rustynuts and I were the 2 guys on fat bikes.

Nice to meet you guys. I was the guy on the orange fatty.

All around another successful event! It was great to see increasing participation, from packed picnic tables at the waterfront to kids circling the camp roads at night with their bike lights.
The Schilling three-parker was the largest 25 mile group ride I had been on. We started with 8, had 11 at some point and 5 hours layer finished with 7 I think. Had a few flats and a broken chain, but with such nice weather and trails you could see that everyone enjoyed their ride.
I am very much looking forward to next year. Thanks to Dan and Rich and everyone else behind the scenes!
I was driving around the area with my 3 year old son in his car seat and he asked me if we were going to the camp with the lake and night hike today.... He very much enjoyed having a headlamp on at night and finding and poking a little frog on the night hike.

First off i can't wait till next year.

i would like to thank @DanBrodeen @zip for a great weekend.
there were lots of people that made this weekend great.

The Fleck brothers---what can i say they are great kids. very helpful and kind. made the weekend even better.

Carl Zipper--funny as hell and very knowledgeable about the camp and its history.

Here is the JORBA sponsored Expert group ride photo from todays ride. Mark led a great bunch of riders on a Loop with Lumpy Bumpy and Rolly polly. Great time at Cranks. Thanks to all who ran this event and all the fine sponsors. View attachment 39922
Thanks to everyone for helping with Lauren's flat tire. Particularly woody who got us out of there in time to borrow a tube from him and go out for another ride
