i will do these ride again, mostly by same route.
anyone wish to ride with me are more than welcome.

here's the route: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/108519918
i'ved done this type of rides three time already with different route.

these route travel thru busiest highway (route 23 and hamburgh tpk)
also some busy backroads.some has shoulder to ride, some don't.

if your not comfortable riding on busy highway or dangerous roads.i suggest you not to ride with me.(i'm serious..it's for your own sake and mine) i'm known as crazy biker😀.
but,..the fun is priceless.
once in a life time adventure experience.

"do you got what it take?" if so..this ride is worth to try!

ride start from clifton,NJ (ending, depend on where you live)
start time by: 4am or earliest as possible.
get ready (expect) to spend approximately up to 14hrs saddle time.

BYOS= bring your own stuff (tools, spare tire, front and back blinky,c02,beer,foods,etc)

pace is slow as snail, stop only when fueling.
there are many rest stop along this route.as of these route will be on the roads before get into the woods.

no beginner please for intermediate and beyond...

pm me if intrested, will give detail about this ride.

I'm in, Oh wait,.................... What? I thought this ride was in segments for the season. 14 Hours, HOLY MOLY!!!

Liong your a BEAST.... :getsome:

I do similar rides on the east of the Hudson, tough to get over to NJ and try this one out. But I'd been looking at linking Ringwood and Waway, I'd forgotten that JH was in the middle too.

louis.theres a secret passage that can link from wawa to ringwood via JH but i haven't yet figure it out yet.hopefully oneday.

If it was like....May... I'd do it. I'm all for spending all day on the bike, but not in the middle of the winter.

we ain't riding on roads,son!
but 10hrs id doable.
without stoping.
i tend to stoping alot.taking pics,taking nap,sightseeing...

technically speaking, if you take a nap in the middle of a ride, it may be considered 2 rides, no?

Ok, I'm all packed and ready to go...

This is quite a ride and something I would not personally attempt. 109 miles in 14.5 hrs averages to about 7.5 mi/h which seems like a reasonable pace. However, and this is said with all due respect, I don't see this as an epic MTB ride because of the road / trail ratio. I'm thinking that at most you're doing 40% trail riding on this journey...

Liong - Last weekend I was in JH and it reminded mt of when we used to ride dirt bikes out of Sterling Forest , across the street from Ringwood. there 's a fire road that takes you to Monksville and from there you could ride the power lines to JH, then link up Wayway - I want to do it again! except that was before they built the resevoir and you could ride through across the river if it wanst too high , one year after alot of rain my buddy didnt make it and it washed his KDX 250 about 200 yeards downstream!
