Everything's about ready to pop. Tomatoes are coming in nicely, peppers are starting to grow. My option to not water the corn with the rest of the garden has paid off greatly. I weeded the rows the other night and next year I really need to put down plastic or some kind of weed barrier. Its impossible to keep up with.

I've been growing them for a few years now. Should turn even yellow to orangish all over and the skin will get harder. Your finger nail will not penetrate far, if at all, into the skin when you push it in.

I'm letting the vines grow along the fence. Kept the vines inside the fence but not the all fruit!

It's got some time. For my squashes, I wait till the vines die off. Been a while since growing spaghetti, but always have some butternut

We are in Zucchini mode now, but we had a hell of a Strawberry crop earlier this season. Even some rated “R” Strawberries 🤣

Picked 5 more zucchini today. We already have 3 on the counter. Missed the food pantry collection so guess I will be baking this weekend.

Good idea. They're good no matter how. My wife likes to roast them with other vegies (zuchs, butternuts, brussels spouts, etc).

I ate my last Breba fig for the season yesterday. A monster Violette De Bordeaux. Delish!
Now I have to wait until probably Sept for the main crop. I have hundreds of littles set though. 😋

Can't catch up, including beans and peppers. Also stepped in a yellow jacket burrow yesterday by the squash, 12 stings. Neighbors got to see a naked guy running around hysterical. Took two benadryls and went the bed. Found the hole this morning and there will be blood shed at sunset

Jeez. I got five stings when I ran over a hive with my mower. Those yellow jackets don't play around.

My daughter used 4 or 5 garden cukes to make a batch of soup. Served warm with a liberal sprinkling of chopped cukes added cold.
