27/31: Took a low-speed spill yesterday and am feeling it today. Nothing a little gravel spin couldn't losen up. There's spot of the Sussex Branch Trail near Lafayette Village where turkey vultures hang out in the trees. Very creepy. Tonight they were on the trail feeding on another turkey vulture. Was too grossed out to snap a picture. They eat their own!

Day 27: I rode Sidewinder today and Nagy didn’t

The title says it all, doesn't it? Here we are again in Vermont, ending the month the way we began it. This is a magical place, to be sure. Any day that you can ride some of your favorite trails with your significant other is a good day. We have an end goal of collecting the boy from NICA camp on Friday. But we decided to come up a few days and "work" remotely. Today I worked from behind the wheel of the truck, just in time to hit the trails around 5:30.

All that said, the magic of this place also comes with the people you come with. This may be the 3rd time (of 40+ times here) that we've been here by ourselves, and it was kind of weird in a way. Even though I can say we rode Sidewinder and Jim did not, these trails are always more magical when your friends are here with you. I may change my mind when Utah shows up tomorrow but for today, I am sticking to that.

Still, today was a good day.
