17/31 - Managed to get the GF (aka the antibike) back out for a ride. To my surprise she enjoyed herself so much that she kept waving at me "you're number one"!
I kid, but these pictures are too funny 🤣🤣🤣. I think she actually enjoyed the ride today more than she's willing to admit. But she may have enjoyed the post ride drinks in Phoenixville a little more.
This week we added 2 new riders to the team. Both of them are well-known in our circle of friends but 1 is someone we have known and vacationed with a dozen times in the past 5 years. Today we made it up to Graham Hills to ride with Alex & Mark, thus beginning the first of many rides where Mark is not only a friend, but a teammate as well. We were joined by Mark's friends to round out the group at 6.
While this park is not massive, it is well-worth the 1:10 drive for us to get there. This is the 3rd time in 4 years but this is the first we have seen the platform with the tabletops. This work was really well done. I would say it's hands down the best local spot to work on this kind of stuff. The run is super short, I think there are maybe 5 tabletops on each? But it's just enough to get some good practice and not get too tired climbing back up. That said, it's always a workout doing these.
The rest of the park is pretty solid as well. After the ride we went to Alex & Mark's for lunch, which made for a really enjoyable day. Sadly, the weekend is now over and Monday lurks just around the corner.
Sunday is my Monday. Got out after work with only 14 minutes of the 17th left. Nothing really to take pictures of on these midnight rides. I do enjoy the peace and quiet though.
