Yesterday got away from me. Rode local later in the day. The heat was surprisingly bearable.

4/20 - Early-ish Wissahickon ride.

We decided to try to start fairly early at 9AM to beat the anticipated crowds. This turned out to be a good call. During the ride down, we didn't see too many other riders or hikers, but after we did the other side of Lincoln Drive, the ride down Pipeline to Kitchen's Lane was pretty busy. My riding partners both needed to get back so we took Forbidden Drive back to the Inn. Somewhere along that, my legs just stopped working. Not really sure why... just couldn't turn the pedals with any force.

Thanks @Glenn Rides After 4 PM CST for the lead and @Kirt for the awesome work with the park. Picked the wrong equipment for this ride (hard tail, fat unfit body etc.) but it was indeed fun. @Mare45 , great chatting with you afterward and thank you for waiting for me and coming up with a number of plausible excuses for my poor performances, I will reuse them multiple times especially with myself! Oh, and I forgot to mention that I took a different route back to the parking lot at some point. Not a bail out🤥
