Is there a resource in the tri-state area that does training camps or workshops for girls brand-new to 'cross? I have Googled, but did not find much that was local. I want to see if I can 1) pick up the skills and 2) if it's something I would enjoy.

Capes - have fun camping! I think we can find an "adaptive paddling" solution for Ms Meg. This is a great time to teach her some one-armed rolls. We can start with the Shotgun Roll and then the Crook of the Arm Roll. Hope to see you guys on the water and trails soon!

it was fun! this weekend might be tough for us though - we have a big freelance job to get started and Sunday is our kayak club's annual picnic. I'll post if we decide to go out.

We'll wait a bit for the far-away travelers and late-night party-goers. TM usually ends around 12, and we can linger in the parking lot BS-ing with everyone til you show up. Capers and I went to bed nice and early so we could be there at TM. ;)
