My $.02 .... be sensitive to the land manager or whoever is supervising this session. If 20 people show up, it can be overwhelming and hard for some to manage. Let them set the agenda, and help them execute it. Be tolerant if it goes slow or there is some initial confusion. A plan has been drafted, look at it, and don't be surprised that is what they intend to follow. Trail side is not the place to expect major revisions to the plan.
this!!!

Personally, I wouldn't suggest bringing bikes. To the general public all cyclists are entitled assholes, so leaving the bike out of the picture will help build our relationship with the park as regular trail users first.

The vibe in the park has changed dramatically in the past few months as we've been accepted in but still, I'd rather not push it and present our best side tomorrow.

We'll have the gangbang afterwards, not during.

Rode it yesterday and just wanted to say thanks and good job to the folks who did the TM. Removed the fallen tree blocking the downhill run by the Pavilion off Skytop and also nice work on the ledgy downhill near the trail center (water diversions and general cleanup). I'll definitely try to make the next TM. Please advise when the date/time is set. Thanks!

Awesome. We didn't remove that tree but it's good to hear it's gone!! That climb needs a ron of work, might be worth considering closing it and using the rock climb just behind it.

Yeah, closing and building a switchback might help, but that would be a ton of work. Where is the "rock climb"? West of Skytop Drive?

@Shorepoints

Did you make it back OK last night on Sean's chain job?

Hi All,

I have been parking at the loop and starting out the way of the Green trail and I have found some really fun trails but I'm looking for some advice on where to go next and also where to stay away from? I don't see any "bike" trails noted on my map and want to be respectful of any walk only paths if that was part of the agreement when opening up the park to bikes.

Thanks !

P.S. - A million thanks to Jorba and all of you whom contributed to getting this park opened up to bikes! It is amazing to have a awesome place to ride so close by.

FYI: Mountain biking is illegal throughout Watchung Reservation at this time and for the foreseeable future. Please respect this.
