well i did manage to ride today...... a bmx that was too small for me while wearing my eye patch and no helmet. im living on the edge like fucking aerosmith.

a little update. vision hasnt improved yet. i have a neurologist appointment tomorrow to check for scary stuff like multiple sclerosis(i had an mri already that was clear so im staying positive its not MS). i dont usually ask of stuff like this, but anyone with faith out there say a prayer for me if possible. thanks.

p.s. i miss all of you guys and my bike
 
I was actually at your store today to get out a Yakima rack and figured something was still going on when you weren't there.

I'm not real religous but grew up in a pretty strict Catholic household - will definitely "pray" some healing vibes for ya.
 
Heal up soon, stay positive. We want you back on the trails.

Make sure you pet your bike from time to time. Reassure her that her saddle will be feeling your buttocks again soon. 😀

MIG I am married to a ministers daughter (not real sure how that happened). You'll be in our prayers bro...and I'll mention it to my mother in law (the minister). She has a direct line...
 
thanks for the kind thoughts everyone

i went to the neurologist today and he did the standard ms test with the reflexes and poking things and such. those were all good. he also told me that the chances of me developing ms are pretty low. he said that the odds of having optic neuritis and a clean MRI at the same time are pretty rare and said i have maybe a 20% chance of developing ms in the future. so im keeping my head up. this week coming im going to doing a 3 day high dose IV steroid followed by a week of oral steroid pills for my optic neuritis. its a heavy duty anti inflamatory dosage to basically quicken the process for my eye to heal. all decent news today so im feeling pretty good about it. cant do any further tests for the MS till my eye gets better because they are visual tests. ill keep everyone posted.
