Me too, and I still do - flatland and light park riding. I ride for the fun of it, which off-road means obstacles and climbing. This by default results in some level of fitness. I only ride rigid bikes, and my SS has a 24” rear wheel. All of this is to say I may be different but will still leave to door open to an eBike in 15-20 years.
If your moving to greater allamuchy trails it may be sooner 😁

Thought I might mention that we just got a big order of Pivot Shuttle AMs on clearance.

The price can't be printed here, but reach out to me if you are interested.

Ride SLX/XT and Pro X0 Eagle Transmission

Both at rates lower than I am seeing anywhere.

All sizes

If someone here is looking to dabble with an ebike at a reduced rate, these prices are pretty good. We can get most sizes in a few days.

I just passed this a long to my cousin who's looking for a bike for a friend of his in this price range

This setup seems like a lot for the money spent.

I do like the idea of the 500wh battery for shorter rides and the option to run the range extender for 750wh for bigger days.

I haven’t ridden 500wh bike with a cx motor yet, but the lighter weight seems appealing

What are your thoughts on the all mountain version with the other motor?

The sizing is interesting. The reach number for the SM is similar to other bikes L number. Although the near 80 deg seat tube angle likely makes a difference in how that number feels when riding.

59 lbs for the M. Yowza...

Just stumbled across this, kinda a strange e bike

My first dual suspension bike was an Intense Uzzi SL. I’m sadden by how far that company has fallen. 🙁

My understanding is that the "Intense" brand wasn't supposed to be on the "951" branded bikes in an attempt to keep the higher end Intense bikes separate from the more "mass market" bikes. I rode with a kid in Davis earlier this year who was on a 951 (acoustic) bike. It didn't seem to hold him back any. My understanding is if he sticks with biking, his father will get him a nicer bike.

I think the 951 is cosco brand, this bike was ordered by them from intense and they did not sell well. If you go on the intense site, they have them loaded down with all kinds of bags.

I have yet to ride a bike with an 80° sta but I’m very interested.

I was trying to put off an ebike for at least a few more years. I'm 50 and balked at getting an ebike... Then last month we went to Trexler and it was the first time I said to myself maybe an ebike wouldn't be so bad lol.. It was fun doing the jumps but the climb to go back up to do it again killed me while my buddy with an ebike was ready to do a few more laps to do the jumps again! Was looking at a Orbea rise LT. I want something that is relatively light and still feels like a normal bike.

The smaller 420 WH Battery paired w/ the 210wh range extender makes for a good setup for most people. This allows for a pretty light setup for shorter rides and then you can slap on the extender for bigger rides.

Or go for 630 and run it wit a little more boost in the mix.

We have sold a LOT of these if you want to chat details.

We also have the Shuttle am with the XT/SLX build and the 750 wh battery for $5999... This would be my pick.

Reach out if you want to discuss.

Man if I had a dollar for every time I hear this I'd have another Full Powered ebike 😂
It's a step i continue to warn most. Skip that thought, go right to 750w+ full power. No such thing as too much suspension either. It's only my personal opinion and you will also love either but once you join in on a group you'll be under gunned.

I had a similar feeing when I started shopping in early Summer 2024. All I can say is before committing stead-fast to a lightweight e-bike, test ride as many models as you can swing a leg over. Maybe it will solidify that feeling... maybe you will come to realize the weight of a full power bike doesn't matter to you as much as you thought it would. I found myself in the latter camp.
