Is it because of age
Physical condition
Lack of time
Just a junky for new technology

I'm seeing more and shops seemed to see a shift

I'm a maybe only because I still love my Rise and don't see a need or reason to replace it. I spent a week in Arkansas riding it and it is just so much fun. The only reason I would replace it is if/when they come out with one that is significantly lighter without sacrificing power/torque and range because I do miss being able to toss the bike around like I do with my analog bike.

Maybe, I think it would be an additional arrow in the quiver to help me ride more vertical parks that I don't normally frequent.

Never say never, but I have no intention for the foreseeable future. If I get to the point where I'm no longer physically capable of hitting the trails without one, I'll join the club. Hopefully that's a long way off!
I'm happy to say that this is how I saw it but if these were available 20 years ago I'd definitely own it then. I now have a completely different outlook. Highly recommend trying one for a solid 2 hour ride at same effort you give on a muscle bike. You not only go faster and further but those fitness numbers will be almost exactly the same.

Maybe but leaning no. They need to come down in price drastically. I think 1hr of mtb is enough these days too. Not those 2-3 hr stints.
For the speed and fun factor yeah but where is that beneficial on hills and flats?

No for me for the foreseeable future mostly due to cost. I’m not generally against them and the times I have ridden on the trails with one it was ear to ear grin the whole time. It’s mostly due to budget and no where to store it.

Considering the industry seems to be banking on E-bikes saving the world it's not looking good with only two maybes and a bunch of no ways.

I've been giving some thought to the Emtb situation for a few weeks now. In the short time I've had my Emtb I've received one positive comment and a few wise remarks along with some nasty ass looks. I even had two rando guys fishing give me some lip as I cruised slowly past them. Why do people get so triggered by these things?

Some ball busting from your riding buddies is one thing, but people being outright rude is not cool. But considering the state of the country, it's no surprise that everyone has picked a team for everything. And fuck the other team!

I don't want to try one and then want one, it's not in the budget right now.

My speed limit is determined by my bike handling skills. Going farther sounds nice, but I'm getting plenty of smiles riding the way I always have.
