Smokey & the Bandit Extended Online Race

IN! Pro-Class.

I'm jumping into this since I am kicking my training up a notch. I'm more interested in feedback, critique, you suck comments or atta boy comments from guys like Ilya and Norm. Training with power is new to me and these guys have more experience with this shit.

I'll rack up some miles, but my goal is to get stronger for race season.

Friday- 30 minutes rollers. Yeah, riding indoors sucks but spending some time on rollers is beneficial for technique and efficient way to put in a recovery effort. What do I get for 30 minutes?

Sat- 4:30hrs endurance ride. 76 miles, 16.9 mph avg. Gotta be good for like 20 points...no? Kirt held my hand at some points during the ride, do I subract points for that?

In for sport, thanks for doing this again!
I was what my wife would call a hot mess today...
5 minutes into the ride I found out that my right shoe cleat was sliding all over the place and the screws were are frozen in place. Mess around with it for ten minutes or but still couldn't loose. Or tighten it. So I kept riding until a branch messed up my derailleur and shoved my chain in between the rear cassette and the spokes. Couldn't get it out for the life of me until I split the chain and worked on it off the bike. Readjusted the derailleur and got back on just to have my front tire come to a complete stop after running into a big branch point at the trail 2 ft of the ground. Banged my knee into the handle bar pretty nicely, back enough to jus sit there for five minute before I could move again.... The rest of the ride wasn't so bad... But the condition at allamuchy north were great.

Almost 2 hour ride with Kevin and The Hub at Hartshorn. I had a BLAST! Kevin and hubbie are so funny to ride with. Very relaxed ride, in that I mean I didnt feel like I was under any pressure to perform. Kevin also said something nice about my riding which is always a plus.

Actual moving time was 1 hour 45 mins according to Kevin's garmin type thingie. I had to stop and talk bikes with a group I saw there. I should've taken a picture of all of them, must have been 10 fellas all with real squishy bikes (you all know I like squishy). There was even a fella on a nice orange and white specialized sx and he was wearing a matching orange and white outfit. VERY COOL ;) One fella looked at me and my bike and said "thats YOUR bike" uhhhh yeah and why did you say it like that? :getsome: Anyway....

I did do a video, will have it up shortly, so while you wait....

welcome aboard! if you use one of your movable double days - you'll snag 16 points for that.

We do have enough folks in the Commuter group to cover a podium at least, right?

we have enough - you're covered!

rode today on the road. i hate riding my mtn bike on the road. i texted mikesu that i might as well be attempting to pedal a wheelbarrow full of bricks. between the knobbies wurring away and the chain grinding from lack of maintenance, it sucks to end up with 12 mph avg. might look for a used/cheap roadie that actually fits. there was a relatively stiff headwind today too. not point worthy but still crappy. using my first movable double day on this one since i missed day one. one left for me.

Okay ... so this kind of sucks.

Sorry to create shit right away and I'll accept whatever you decide on this but I would like to request credit for the full four hours. I rode Wissahickon and Belmont and had to spend some time bushwacking around downed trees over in Belmont. Because I was forced to hike-a-bike or track stand a few times, I am reading 3:44:51 moving time. I realize this is NOT 3:45, so if it has to be three hours, I'll take that. I did stop a few times for bio-breaks/photo ops, but no way was I stopped for 25 minutes, so I'm thinking the Garmin is just not reading movement if I was below a certain speed. It's a new unit for me, so if it;s user error that led to this, I'll accept that as well.

Again, like I said: I'll accept the official decision on this. Here is the ride.

If it's four hours -- 8 points.
If three hours - 6 points

WTF 9 SECONDS!!??!

well, since the link is private - you get no points :D

official ruling - 8 it is. just un-privatize the link!

Btw, am should be in pro, especially since miles aren't factored anymore. She rides more hours that most.
