Wildlife

Weekend sightings...

So this weekend I came across a coyote on the outskirts of Tatum Park while I was rode riding...it was big and mangy(sp?), but awesome to see. Also saw two fawn so small they still had their spots on them at Kittatinny Valley
State Park this am, one we followed on the trail(it probably thought we were chasing it) for about 30meters before hopped into the brush.

Sorry no pics🙁

Quite a few foxes and coyotes in and around Six Mile Run. Never had a chance to get a photo, but they're out there.

Heard rumors of a mountain lion at the Sourlands, but I'm very hesitant to entertain that thought.

Caught in the act

this little b**** has been eating all my nice hasta. Caught in the act this morning when I got back from my ride....she has a guilty look on her face.

They love Hostas. I think everything loves to eat them...

Last year the snails, slugs and voles ate them up on me. This year its the deer. Im done with these apparently delicious to all critter plants..

This fella was about 3 inches long and fatter than my pinky finger!

I also rescued a daddy-long-legs spider off the trail today. He was a pretty big one, sorry no photo of him. ***** is like, "what are you doing???"

"Moving a spider off the trail of course, duh!"

Cool photo AM!

We were at KVSP today with the kids...I had my group over by the needle when another guy rode towards me and told me there was a mother bear and two cubs down the trail. I should have known...Patty was also riding at KVSP...the bears love her!

We opted for a new route and made a lot of noise...close but no siting...which was fine for camp!

I wish I was able to react quicker and jump over it. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the snake until it was unavoidable (and a few inches from my front wheel).

At least it wasn't a rattle snake this time? Though, that was in Colorado...
