What WEIRD things have you found on your rides?

Last weekend on my road ride I saw a road killed beaver on Half Acre road in Monroe. Big sucker too, I swung around for a second look to confirm.

Sunset beach Cape May, weird because the sun sets over the ocean (Bay)in NJ.

I'd imagine that Cape Cod is the first place where the sun sets over the water on the east coast.. it is the farthest east.. then maybe Cap May, then the Cape Charles area in Maryland, but maybe Cape Hatteras before that.. all would be long before Florida.

Thanks! I remember reading somewhere that it's the second place on the East coast where the sunsets over the water,
I don't know why I thought it was ocean, my flub. The second spot the sun sets over water on the East coast is Florida.

plus MD and VA east side of Chesapeake bay, Outer banks NC

Not weird, but very useful. Metal shop project brass hammer, found while crossing rt 9. Another time found a $100.00 bill blowing across the road.

As for weird while riding at South Mtn a bunch of guys standing in the woods wearing only trench coats (?!?) Also rode up on a couple while he was munching on her ass..

In my opinion, Key West is the best sunset on the East Coast, followed closely by Cape May.

Using those examples, then all the barrier islands of NJ meet that criteria as well.

Nope, you have to have enough open water west to see a sunset without land on the horizon - which is a little over 3 miles. NJ barrier islands don't qualify

snuck in from the picatinny property. all different types of experiments going on in there. ARDC - check for miniature POV camera.
