I don't know why I thought it was ocean, my flub. The second spot the sun sets over water on the East coast is Florida.

I'd imagine that Cape Cod is the first place where the sun sets over the water on the east coast.. it is the farthest east.. then maybe Cap May, then the Cape Charles area in Maryland, but maybe Cape Hatteras before that.. all would be long before Florida.
