What have you done to your car today?

this ones for @Carson, when you wash your own car (lol) do you have any type of spot free rinse system? iv been seeing ads for these things that supposedly treat the water so you dont get water spots without drying. any experience with them? it seems too good to be true to me.
I have a old one of these Spotless water filters, and it works amazingly well. Only issue is that the replacement resin was fairly expensive

My Rhino ramps make me nervous with my car. I think I can sleep better at night if you're putting a truck on them...

not sure why youd be concerned with your little tuna can on them, they are rated for like 7k lbs each iirc. The one thing to note is since they have a cutout base you have to use them on a solid surface, no gravel or gras or dirt, asphalt or concrete only.

I haven't ever messed with deionized water systems. Pretty much all of the ceramic boosters/maintainers also can be used as a drying aid.

I do spritz a mist of CarPro Reload on the panels while they are still wet. It helps for a spot free finish (with a drying towel) and boosts the ceramic coating. It works as a decent quick and easy hydrophobic coating, but it will only last a few weeks at best.

this is more for the challenger so that may be a viable option since a few weeks for an outdoor car vs much more for a garaged vehicle ( assuming you meant it the way i assume), the silver and white on the dailies dont show the spots so no real care about them.

Nearly dying when a jackstand failed will do that to you.

Ok car peeps. How do I clean rust out of a threaded bolt hole? Back when I bought this truck I removed the third row of seats. Apparently the holes were open on the bottom for the past 6 years and are now all rusted. I’m attempting to reinstall the seats and can’t get more than two of the screws back in and those won’t quite bottom out.

Suggestions?

Chase the threads with an oily tap?

I would agree with this as well. Might want to start off with some PB blaster and a wire brush that fits in the hole to loosen up the rust, then get a Thread Chaser kit and some heavier weight lube and slowly crank the thread chaser in. I'd assume if you bring one of the bolts to the auto parts or hardware store they can help you match up the thread size.

I got them also because they stack together, nice simple feature I'm surprised most don't have

If you're lucky! Find an old timer at home depot, or a ma-and-pa type auto parts or hardware store for your bets bet here. The average retail jockey probably doesn't know WTF you're asking of them.

Or, just buy a set from harbor freight which will probably have the size needed.
