What have you done to your bike today?

Thanks - wheel compatibility wouldn't be an issue, I'd have a dedicated set for this bike. Looks like they have an option with Enve wheels. Hopped on the wait list.

According to their fit range, L should work for me. It's actually very close to the M Horsethief
Jealous, you living large in sun, good for you
Funny most people retire in FL to golf, you dared to be different and just shredding it up and representing

I like that it's not boost, because I can use the same wheels on my other mtb and cross bike. This may be a deterrent for you.

Boost is stupid. You're not going to put 27+ wheels/tires on that bike, so why have extra-wide hubs?

But everyone is going that way...

Ha funny I do like to play golf but couldn't fit my set of clubs in the car when we came down - haven't swung a club this year! Might go to the range down the street to whack some - they have shitty clubs you can use - better than nothing!

When I got my first mtn bike, a Schwinn High Sierra, it had a little sticker on it that said made in the USA. Then I got another bike, a Cannondale Jekyll 1000, and that one not only had a sticker, but said Handmade in USA on the chain stay.

So when I went to get a new updated mtn bike I seemed to be stuck on the fact that it must be made in the US. The only two I could find were Foes and Turner. Sure there are others that are super niche, but not all offer FS.

So I got what may be the last US made XL Turner Burner.

I rode that for a little bit and found out that they replaced the Burner with something better. Although it wasn't made in the US, I was super pleased with the Burner and the service from Turner that I ended up getting an RFX.

The RFX is pretty awesome do all rig. From bike park to single track. I find it to be really good at a lot. It's like a one and done bike. I just wish some of the geo #'s were better suited for a person with my build.

I got the itch for a 29'r and decided to switch it up and got a SB5.5, which works ok, but something about that DW Link that keeps calling my name. So now I'm looking at a Czar.

Worked on my old 1987 univega vivasport.

Looking forward to taking this out on a long road ride. I got this as a hand-me-down from my brother years ago and have done various things with it...

- threw flat pedals and mary bars on it and it was my neighborhood cruiser
- attached the kid trailer to it and it pulled my daughters on numerous rides
- Indoor trainer bike
- I even threw some cyclocross tires on this and rode in hartshorne and other parks (ridiculous in hindsight)

But now I want to return it to its former glory 😉 as a road bike.

Got rid of the old quill stem and too-narrow handlebars. Got a stem adaptor and threw on a stem and wider handlebars I had around.

Axed the cyclocross tires for some proper road tires

Also wrapped bar tape for the first time ever. Took me 2 hours lol but I think I did a solid job.

Also cleaned the bike - cleanest the bike has probably been in many many years

Tomorrow - learn how to adjust roadie brakes 😉

I purposely set this up to be comfortable for long rides. Want to do a century on this thing. With that in mind - the only last thing is to get a wider range on the cassette (it has a very narrow range - not too hill worthy) . Since this still has the original derailleur (!!!) that matter will need professional assistance

Upgraded some rubber on my Timberjack:

Changed the rear tire from a Schwalbe Rapid Rob to a Hans Dampf.

Removed the stock grips and locked-on some Lizard Skins Northshores.

When your wife works in global finance and you and the kids have the day off, ya gotta keep the kids out of moms hair while she deals with her team in India. My older daughter rolled her eyes and called me stupid, my younger daughter had fun with the air pump. New sneaks on the Cannondale, thanks to Mr Vreeland.

Complete failure, can't even get out of the driveway. Snow was too wet and dense, front kept on dropping in which I was trying to avoid, probably need more float.

Use a real full-size snowboard! Or just go buy one of those ski-bike kits.
