What have you done to your bike today?

I got the frame late in the fall and have been slowly building it up since. I think it's ready to go. I still need to tweak the cockpit a little. The seat height and position, and my bars and levers just don't feel totally dialed.
It's a few oz under 24lbs.

Seems they only make the Czar in L, XL or XXL. My mtbs are all 17 in seat tube - the large is 19. If I see Kirt @ CR I'll have to give it a spin

Turners usually run a little small. I'm betting you'll fit on a L.

And that's the beauty of a dropper...you can jump right on 😉

I own a couple Turners (Burner & RFX) both of which are an XL. Would like to check out you Czar if you wouldn't mind.

What attracted you guys to Turner? Not that it would surprise anyone but I've never heard of this brand. What's special about them? All ears (eyes?) - thanks!

Before they were forced to go carbon, (just to remain relevant in the industry) they were a made in the USA boutique brand.
They're known for excellent customer service. They still stock rebuild kits for frames they made 15 years ago.
They have a cult following ( check the Turner thread on mtbr).

I haven't had a Turner for a few years, but they had a sale on XL czars when I was ready to move on from my scalpel so I made the move.

First impressions of the bike were and are still great. I'm not giving up anything in weight, but the bike is miles ahead in it's ability to tackle tech. ( To be fair, the new scalpels are supposed to be much improved, but I've never ridden one so I can't comment). It's still an aggressive xc race bike, but when both tires leave the ground I'm amazed by it's stability.

I like that it's not boost, because I can use the same wheels on my other mtb and cross bike. This may be a deterrent for you.

Im not sure why the company hasn't grown like ibis or pivot... I think this frame although a few years into the same design, still holds up. The DW link is proven, so I guess there's no need to change.

You'd be hard pressed to find someone who has owned a Turner that didn't rave about it.

I should add, when the fox shock died 6 rides in, and I emailed Turner....I got a response from Dave Turner himself.

Granted, he told me I had to go through fox, lol, but he did follow up and make sure I was taken care of. That seems like a rare experience in today's industry

I know they sell a Medium, I was looking at one a few months ago
probably out of stock, give them a call when they expect Mediums in. Some people say they run small, but Kirt told me he liked the Large better than XL. Best to try one while you're up here. They look really nice

Thanks - wheel compatibility wouldn't be an issue, I'd have a dedicated set for this bike. Looks like they have an option with Enve wheels. Hopped on the wait list.

According to their fit range, L should work for me. It's actually very close to the M Horsethief
