What have you done to your bike today?

Installed the new Magicshine light.

Swapped out sketchy fraying sidewall Maxxis Aggressor (why do they all do this?) for a DHR2 on the rear of my Pivot in preparation for my Lake Placid trip. The DHR2 was stolen from my Ragley so I put a Bontrager SE2 on there as an experiment with micro knobbies. Also did my annual Stan's top off in the 2 unchanged tires, checked brake pads and lubed chain. Good to go!

You may have tossed the tire, but I'm not sure what a frayed sidewall looks like, only seen them on old tires.

This year, two almost new DHR2s on different bikes (29 and 27.5+) have torn right above the bead for me. Currently using tubes on both till I decided whether to give up on Maxxis tires. Maxxis was everyone's go to tire but seems the competition has caught up.

I've been testing out Bonty SE5s up front on a few bikes and like the grip but there's a good weight penalty. Thinking XR5 up front and either SE4 or 3s in the back. SE2s are similar to the Pan FatBnimbles I've been running on a hardtail. Fast, but zero grip especially this time of year with wet leaves. Though interested what you think with a burlier front tire.
