Maxxis always run narrow by a good amount. This is a fun one. Both tires are mounted on 28mm internal width rims inflated to 30 PSI

.100 small is unacceptable. You might as well use fractions and a tape measure 😆
Shouldn't all those nipples be pixelated according to current domestic sensitivity?!?!

You maybe be right, it's let it all hung out these days...I think we’re supposed to do the opposite now? I can’t keep up with what’s right anymore so I just do whatever I want 😂

You may have tossed the tire, but I'm not sure what a frayed sidewall looks like, only seen them on old tires.Swapped out sketchy fraying sidewall Maxxis Aggressor (why do they all do this?) for a DHR2 on the rear of my Pivot in preparation for my Lake Placid trip. The DHR2 was stolen from my Ragley so I put a Bontrager SE2 on there as an experiment with micro knobbies. Also did my annual Stan's top off in the 2 unchanged tires, checked brake pads and lubed chain. Good to go!
This has been a trend of maxxis tires that I thought would've been addressed by now but seems it has not. I've been very happy with the schawbles the past couple years now.torn right above the bead for me
