What have you done to your bike today?

Finally home in the stable, just waiting for the matching purple pedals to come in next week. Will start to dial it in this weekend !! I fear the Switchblade will be jealous.

Hard to see the results but for the 1st time ever trying to apply protective film I am satisfied how it came out.

I just want to protect the main areas of the bike and using the spare strips/rolls I got from a friend I came up with a method to make templates out of paper. Started with the underside of the bottom tube and while
It has a few bubbles here and there it’s good enough to get the job done.

Then I did underneath the top tube. This went on nearly perfect and barely any noticeable bubbles.

The top tube was more tricky to try and line up the seams and cut accurately from the piece underneath. I probably should have done the top first so the seam was lower and more under the top tube. but it’s also good enough for now. The pieces I had to work with were only about 4” wide so I made it work.

Finishing up a piece for the NDS chainstay since the drive side has the factory clear chainstay cover already.

Longer term I will buy a wider roll and fix it up better now that I feel like I can do it myself.

Meantime it’s finally time to ride this thing this weekend (after I charge the battery of course LOL)

Bought a cheapo set of E13 155mm cranks for my wild so I can hand off the 160mm ones on the bike to @icolquhoun to scope out for production. Hopefully 155s will be a little less forgiving the the 160s.
He had the ep8 set off my Rise, but the bosch set lines up with rest of the motors on the market.
Looking forward to a pretty set down the line. Threw new pins on my canfield crampons pedals.

Not today but 2 weeks ago…

The mid support is great. The diving sensation is all but gone and really keeps the fork high in its travel. Still playing around with PSI but it’s highly sensitive to 1 PSI increments.

DVO 40% sale made it super easy to drop the coin. Their stuff it great for the price and simplicity of tuning. Out of the box they have always and consistently changed the bike for the better with minimal tinkering…
