Overall pleased with the fit.

Thanks it broke right above where it threads Into the hub but I had enough tools with me to get the broken peice out thread the rest in bend them back and crank down some zip ties figured it was better than nothing 🤣

First wheel build because I wasn't happy with any of the standalone 27.5" options for my mullet.
Going to see how this thing rides as a little more of a trail bike. This wheel/tire combo shaved off 0.8 lbs so a pretty good start.

Unfortunately there is not a ton of purchase for the cassette tool so I'm terrified of stripping this some day. Hopefully it shifts well, we shall find out later today.

I still ride BMX freestyle, since 1980. I give it credit for whatever mental stability I may have. I also ride coaster brake - It’s all I ever rode in the 80’s/90’s and I just love it. I recently tried a Planetary Freecoaster, followed by a new 9T Cassette but I just can’t adjust and I lose coaster brake tricks that I love. Riding around on Skyway Graphites are SO sweet (the 9T cassette) and got me hooked on mags again, Sooo, why not put a coaster in the graphites?!

MrsQ wanted a bike to ride around town again so I repurposed the Soma Juice. Going to add a rack and basket.
Mulefut v2 are pita to make tubeless. Second time trying and still failed. Using holographic duct tape for holes and 70mm tesa tape doubled up. Going to get the sunringle tape instead. Any ideas for center strip for holes which have some choices of bling?

So, I have (4) mtb's all in various states of disrepair, lol... Too much to list what I've done to them lately, so I'll start with this one:
Bought this Specialized Chisel frame earlier in the year & never got around to building it, finally threw some time at it this week.
Mostly a spare parts build:
Chisel frame - Medium (purchased second hand, previous owner never used it); Ride Wrapped it (Gloss)
Sid Select+ 120mm (purchased second hand)
GX 12spd drivetrain, 10-50t, 175mm cranks (new take-off)
RaceFace Turbine stem/bars (new take-off)
PNW grips (parts bin)
Deore 4-pots (parts bin)
Specialized Phenom saddle (freebie from a friend)
DT Swiss M1900 w/ 370 hubs (new take-offs). I added the 54T ratchet (Sound clip:

Vittoria Barzo/Mezcal XC-Race 29x2.35's (parts bin)
Wolftooth dropper lever
RaceFace Turbine R dropper (Bought used & turns out it's sticking at the top, new dropper is on order, hence the cable near the headtube just sitting there).
Weighed in at 27.5 lbs as you see it. Not the lightest, but not bad considering I used what parts I had.
Hopefully get a shakedown ride in this week once the new dropper gets here.

Not really bling, but I installed my mulefut v2 with the appropriate Ringle rim tape and fattystripper. I know it’s frowned upon but I used fattystripper on both 26” and 27.5” fat tires with instant success so…

Yes, I used the wrong term, I meant the ringle rim strip to ‘plug’ the holes.
