What have you done to your bike today?

Doesn't the Stevo use a UDH? Just checked a couple of the more well-known online bike parts retailers and they both had stock as does Amazon.
Yup, it does. I looked for Stevo hangers and couldn't find any. Ignorance on my part as I did not realize it was a UDH. All the pictures I found when searching were from the bolt side, which didn't look right to me. Live and learn. :Ugh:

Rainy weather so I took the time to do the lowers on the Epic Evo. I'm about 20 hours over the 50, but I'm pretty vigilant about keeping a clean ride. Swapped out the wipers for some from PUSH, too. I couldn't get over how dry the foam rings were (they're also significantly denser than those from PUSH). Hoping that I didn't damage anything considering the lack of lubrication by the seals. Oil looked decent when it dropped.

I ordered the stock rear can service kit for the Deluxe I have. Hoping that looks better when I crack it open.

Like every fork on the planet, these are shipped basically dry. I pull the lowers on my own bikes while they are brand new to soak the foam rings and add oil.

I hate not riding with a spare derailleur hanger (I once had one bend when my bike fell as I as taking a pic). The Stumpjumper Evo hangers are mostly unobtainium, save for the dentist version, so that's what I got (North Shore Billet). Gotta say, the OEM one feels like plastic, but at least I have a spare now.

Some are made of plastic. Kinda makes sense in my opinion. Makes them cheaper, lighter, and has some "spring" to return to its original shape when smacked but still break before the frame will if hit hard enough.

sounds good to me, plastic. any idea where to get one for my trek?

Some fresh front rubber for the group ride tomorrow

Big Friday night...
Pivot Mach 5.5:
Last 2 rides (which were in Nov!) my rear brake was squealing something awful. Pads had meat so i thought the rotor was worn out and replaced it a while back. Also possible the shop got brake fluid on the pads last time they bled them so i sandpapered and alcoholed the pads for good measure. It's been sitting so i took the bike down to ride today and just rolling in the basement there was still a terrible squeal. "I guess i'm replacing the pads tonight", hung Pivot back up and took the hardtail for my ride...

Ragley Marley:
There was slight play in the cranks on the ride so tonight i learned about the dub cranks preload adjuster and got that dialed in (it was completely loose). Since this is a new bike, i did a once-over of every bolt and found a few that needed tweaking. I also cleaned and re-lubed the drivetrain - bye bye factory sticky crap!

Pivot pads replaced and squealing is gone! I feel very accomplished tonight as i'm a crap mechanic.

I had grabbed a vintage Fat Chance bike here over the summer and sat on it for a while deciding what to do. The frame was modified to disc only and components were updated somewhat so going back to period correct components was not going to happen. I stripped it down and decided to go the restomod route. Powder coat as close to the Fat Chance aqua fade color as they had. It’s passable but the fade is not so good.

Started putting decals on today.

Of the 50+ bikes I've owned in the past 30 years, my Yo Eddy is the only one I've kept.

Installed my flashing directional lights this morning, they work great. I knew I'd be on the road a little today.
Used them three times to tell Autokillers what I was going to do. Worked well and drivers (surprisingly) got the message.
