What have you done to your bike today?

Ordered what I believe to be the last set of Shimano m8100-1 cranks in the USA (until more arrive from overseas around Sept 15). Also ordered a rear derailleur, chainring, and shifter. Packages galore this week.

My bike is now much less of a death trap.

a few months ago I took apart the rocker assembly to look at the bearings because something felt wrong. I noticed that one of the main axle bearings completely fell apart and disappeared at some point, and the outer race had become fused to the rocker so there was no removing it to put a new bearing in. I basically pretended not to see it, reassemble, and continued to send it knowing that the entire rear end of bike was only making contact with the pivot axle on one side of the frame.

This is the outer race that became one with the rocker

new Vs old rocker... it was redesigned the next model year to fix a whole slew of spacing
problems. New rocker, bearings, pivot and main axles set me back $275 which is annoying since they acknowledge the fact it was a faulty design.

feels like a new bike now. I didn’t realize just how sloppy it had actually gotten.

Got caught in quick T-storm driving home from this ride last weekend. No biggie, bike needed a hose-down anyway. Took this as a sign to lube my chain. And while i was at it, i lubed my dropper, fork, shock, and tires (aka added Stan's). This is the most bike maintenance i've done in a long time.
