What Bird Did You See Today?

Too late to video last night:
A couple of Great Horned Owls were communicating between my yard and @Roadie's.
They eventually hooked up after 30 minutes or so - then flew off.
Might need headphones, my build-in speakers wouldn't reproduce it.

Very cool. One of my favorite things about night riding in the winter is stopping to hear the owls

Saw these things at wildcat last weekend. Anyone know what they are? They were pestering everyone in the parking lot. I guess people feed them

Mr Hare must have been grazing under the bird feeder, thinking the tree would hide him.
This hawk comes through all summer long harassing the birds that are there.
Probably never saw him.
Hope he takes it with him.

I’ve lived in my house in Motown for about 20 years, I’ve still never seen a bunny. We see hawks everyday, that may have something to do with it.

We haven’t seen the rabbits in our yard for more than a year now. Since we occasionally have to dispose of a dead body abandoned in the back yard ( vultures have got lazy lately, probably due to the abundance of road kill) I guess hawks are doing their thing.

We resumed filling the bird feeder regularly and the birds are coming, the usual crew. Yesterday there was a welcome addition of a posse of bluebirds, never seen them around here before. No pics.

A bit late with this but in Mid-December saw a pair of Bald Eagles flying over my house in Westfield. I'm guessing it's the pair nesting in Linden. Birds were BIG (noticeably bigger than the typical red tail hawk) , and one was low enough for me to clearly see its big white head. Soared away quickly so no pictures, unfort.
