What Bird Did You See Today?

Looking at profile and location(rotting tree), I'd say it's a Red Bellied Woodpecker looking for a meal. Not sure how they came up with the name for this Woodpecker, given the fact that the top of his head is red, I think everyone was like...whatever, we'll go with it.

We had one of these on the backyard bird feeder last week. My second favorite woodpecker behind the Pileated.

Come on now - you can do better than that. A flicker is better than a red bellied any day.

Had one of those stuck in the building/loading dock at work for a couple days it was weak enough from flying back and forth though the building I was able approach and simply pick it up and put it back outside in a tree next door.

Too late to video last night:
A couple of Great Horned Owls were communicating between my yard and @Roadie's.
They eventually hooked up after 30 minutes or so - then flew off.
Might need headphones, my build-in speakers wouldn't reproduce it.

Subtitles please, I don't speak Great Horned Owlese and I am nearly deaf (that's what my wife says, I just have selective hearing).
