What Bird Did You See Today?

Scarlet Tanager day, I was talking to a Trail Conference guy last week and he said these are very rare.
I haven't seen one since last summer, but today it was here.

Saw one in ringwood last week, those are cool looking. Couldn’t get a pic.

No photo, sorry, just a story.
Saw a Raven today flying and being chased by a Jay, the Jay would actually catch the Raven
and it must have bit the Ravens tail because the Raven let out a squawk. This happened four
times! The Jay would fall back after the nip, but then catch up again and snap and there would
be another squawk out of the Raven. Funny as hell.

I see Great Blue Herons almost every day but I either don’t have a camera on me or they spook and fly away...like this one did as I whipped my camera up

I didn't grab a photo because I was in the middle of riding but I saw a Scarlet Tanager at Allaire yesterday. It was beautiful!

I just finished a ride at Allaire and saw 4-5 Cedar Waxwings in trees near the power line trail.

My dad’s cedar waxwing can beat up your dad’s cedar waxwing.
