Millbrook is a murderous climb...Technicaly speaking it really 2 climbs, separated by a descent. Stage one isn't too bad, but stage 2 is 15-18% for over a mile without leveling off at all. Brutal...you'd love it.

Any VTC members who want me to hand them a bottle during the race, let me know, and be sure to put you name on that bottle.

Sweet looking loop.

No Tour De Tykes? Might be heading up to Stewart tomorrow with Playallday. Probably sometime in early afternoon. I'll shoot out a txt.

Yeah...it is. I was kinda making it up as I went along, particularly on the way back. The Garmin really comes in handy for that.
I might go with you tom if you're really taking it easy. My legs are pretty cooked from today.
They moved Tour De Tykes from Sat. to Sun., so have to go solo since Eabods is doing SSAP. Its a little to far to be worthwhile, which is too bad because it's a really great course.

I was having water issues of my own, coupled with an intense hatred of riding in mud. I did however manage to burn out a Hilti TE-15 hammer drill.

You did quite well for a first timer, although its a 3500. VP was enjoying the ride.

I heard man, hope all is ok

Thanks, its all good. Nothing major, just enough to be a PITA. I was up at 5 going back and forth about going. Stewart mud bath including new brakes, chain and ripping apart the whole bike then coming home to deal with a PO'd wife and water on the floor or just getting rid of the water. One more wise life decision, no doubt to be wiped away shortly.

Waway soon?

Wayway very soon. I'm hoping to be off Saturday and come up there with Pearl and Mandi for a preride. Of course I won't know until Friday morning and I'm pretty sure I'm working.

Figure out a time and I'll try to swing by. As of last Sunday Jim's Bridge was under 10" of water and the double bridges were sunk as well.

Cool ride.

Not in the literal sense, it felt more like summer actually (are we skipping spring again this year?). This was my first time riding these wickedly technical trails. I'd heard a lot about Ramapo being full of hike-a-bikes, but this was all rideable except for one short section, and the trail we had to backtrack on at the end because the bridge was underwater. Monte showed me where Prez bashed his leg the other day and got the 2nd nastiest bruise I've ever seen.

You guys need me on this ride. What's with the in and outs. First of all: at the castle you are supposed to drop off over the wall (none of that fire road sissy shit). Second: when you come back from Ringwood after you re-connect on the lake take blue to orange and it brings you on that out and back at the end. Third: you're getting faster than me. I road the TOurne - super technical 😛

Oh Cool Dave, I didn't know you were in PETA, that's a great organization

Nice ride, Gordo. Did Jerry bail in typical Jerry fasion? Yelling and screaming the whole way.
