Nice ride, Gordo. Did Jerry bail in typical Jerry fasion? Yelling and screaming the whole way.

LOL...How did you know? Monte took off up this very technical switchback climb, and I was burying it to try to stay with him. We got to the top and heard a bunch of indistinguishable shouting from down below, which Mike was somehow able to interpret...that he was in fact bailing.

The best part for me was when we met up with the freeriders, Those guys will open your eyes to some new lines...

You guys need me on this ride. What's with the in and outs. First of all: at the castle you are supposed to drop off over the wall (none of that fire road sissy shit). Second: when you come back from Ringwood after you re-connect on the lake take blue to orange and it brings you on that out and back at the end. Third: you're getting faster than me. I road the TOurne - super technical 😛
We were supposed to do an "effort" to the castle but it was beginning to unravel for some at that point. As far as the other out and back, I was attempting to finish with back beach to Wanaque but Pompton water commissioner neglected to notify me the river was chest high and moving at near 40 mph. On a scorcher of a day like yesterday, normally I don't mind getting wet but this was slightly excessive.

He knew if he came within earshot I would have talked him into continuing.

Monte is fluent in Jerryneese.

. Monte showed me where Prez bashed his leg the other day and got the 2nd nastiest bruise I've ever seen.

The burise hasn't gotten any better. I'm not limping anymore, but I'm still shying away from the mtb as the inside of my leg looks like tiger woods wife attacked me. I feel o.k. to get out on the road for some Friday and Saturday pain though.

I should be put back together for French Creek. So that's a plus.

Mine took a couple of weeks to dissappear. Are you gonna do the Endurance class at FC as well?

1900 feet of climbing per lap! You guys are sick in the head....

This isn't the first time I've had that statement leveled at me.
Put this in perspective though; the Bearscat loop has more than 3000ft of climbing per lap and that's 26 miles. French Creek has 1900ft on a 15 mile loop. Yeah, it is a lot, but its not ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, FC is a very tough race, and 6 hours there rivals if not exceeds the Bearscat in difficulty. That's why its gonna be sooooooo much fun!

I'm not sure if the Treasurer is going to come to this one. The VTC Chef might go, he needs to lose some weight after waltzing around Europe for a month cooking and eating.....
