Ticks

Got lucky and felt this pinhead walking on my forearm.

pulled 7 or 8 ticks off my legs after riding brisbane last week, although I should have known better as the trails were overgrown. First tick in something like 8 years.

I picked up this disease from a tick almost two years ago: https://alphagalinformation.org/symptoms/. It took me a long time to get diagnosed. I ended up in the hospital 7 times and no one could figure out why. But my immunologist says it's becoming more and more common in NJ. I think I know the tick that gave it to me, it was Stephens. If a tick bit hurts, get it looked at, regardless of what your primary doc might say.

I’ve had the alpha gal allergy for 7 years now. Just no beef for me aside from fast food.

If anyone is local to Hoboken, the vaccine study is still looking for participants. Unfortunately just a bit too far for me to commit to.

I had the vaccine a good many years ago, had lyme two times after. I will be waiting this out to see what it will be. As a glassblower and working with many drug makers though my years please remember their bottom line is $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Vaccine technology has come a long way in 20 years.
