Things that make you frown :(

Defer the hard work of loading the back of the DW?
More interested on why she likes to place the glass like that when there is plenty of room to have it standing upright. Sometimes I'll open the dishwasher and there will be glasses laying on their side with nothing else on the rack. Not worth the argument to questions this, so I'll just vent here. I sometimes think it's just a passive aggressive move because she's upset at me about something and she knows I'll fix it. Maybe going away to ski while she was working touched a nerve. Or maybe she just down know how to load a dishwasher, which goes back to not worth the inevitable argument.

Same around here.

W:why do you rearrange the dw
Me (thinking): if you did it right....
Me (saying): I can fit a few more things before I run it

If anyone else in this house besides me loads the dishwasher, it would take them 3 loads to complete what I do in one. And it's probably 4 cuz some of their items would have to be put back for re-do.
I saw someone comment a few months ago how they run the dishwasher once a day no matter what and their lives are better for it. I don't do every day but I try to not wait until it's massively full now. It's definitely easier running it more often than when it gets super full.

I want to be rich enough to have two dishwashers. Comes out of one and goes into the other.

I scrape the loose crap off the dishes - I do not rinse them.
If there were more than 2+cat in the house, I think everyday would work, so the crap doesn't dry on hard.

I guess some have a quick rinse cycle now?
Mine also does not open when done, so all the plastic is still wet.
1st world problems.

We've had this discussion b4.
I think @Norm posted a pic, and the internet had a meltdown.

Must have missed that. Didn't mean to open up old wounds.

I wash dishes by hand. There. I said it. I realize I'm special.
I'm trying to save the planet. 🙄

That sounds exactly like my answer. Drives my wife nuts when I rearrange the entire silverware basket. All the spoons are spooning in the front section.

Don't even get me started when my B.I.L. is visiting. Every fucking piece of silverware is pointing business end up and handles down.

You have a basket and not a tray?

Some people claim the silverware won't get clean if you put it business end down. Those people should be stabbed with forks.

my silverware basket thing has a cover that has holes in it that will only fit the handle, which proves the intention is handles are down. This is the way.

She can put the dishes in all sideways if it means you can go skiing.

Don't have to be rich anymore. They now make 2 door, distinct basin dishwashers that fit in a standard cutout. One of my best purchases.

Outside of some of the larger items don't fit in well. And that doesn't bother me cuz I have no issue cleaning those items by hand anyway.

Kitchen Aid vintage 2010-2011. Works as it should.

The in-laws will stack all the dishes, glasses and silverware in the sink until it's impossible to use it. Then they load the dishwasher.

I installed a brand new dishwasher when I re-did my kitchen 5 years ago. Finally hooked it up 6 months ago. Still haven't run it once. Am I special too?
Are you still using paper plates?
