I had *all day* to ride in the sun, but knocking off work took way longer than expected. Finally got wheels rolling at 730 pm, thinking that I would beat the forecasted weather. That worked out fine for 40 minutes, but the last 20 were through some pretty strong t-storms. I welcomed the cool rain after a long humid day, and was in awe of the lightning.

4/31 back in the saddle and hopefully can keep pace with the 20+ group.

We spent the last few days traveling around Portugal. Couple days in and around Lisbon (including Sinatra and Cascais) and a few days through some old villages, castles and wineries in the Alentejo (Crato, Portalegre, Marvao and Castel de Vide). Now the last couple of days in Sao Pedro de Moel before heading home on Sunday.

Will get in a ride again tomorrow and then not again until reality sets in on Monday.
The waves look so fun in the background! I want to go back now, badly.

Tried reading through the first 20 pages of the thread to try to catch up. Family vacation limited me to one riding day of an hour or more this month so far. If It’s OK at this late date, would like to give it a go for 20 days @Norm. And finally joined back up with Jorba👍🏻. Some nice posts from folks here so far.

1:44 moving time.
Thanks to the management for letting me give a try for 20 days. Just got back from a family vacation in Florida. Rental was a Chevy Suburban and the bike I borrowed was oddly a Schwinn Suburban. Cruised around the Weekiewachie Preserve which is a series’s of small lakes and appear to be an old mine. Some sandy fire roads, some sandy single track, some large sand mounds and even some rock gardens(well, for Florida). Fun to get away but glad to be back in north NJ as sand is not my thing.

Day 9. There is an ongoing theme. If I start to ride, it’s going to storm like crazy. Was close to home and didn’t want to risk it. Called the wife to pick Charlie and me up. She was thrilled to do this task… as any wife is. I haven’t pulled that card for a few years though so she was due for it. Finished up leg 2 after the storm. This challenge is getting to me solely due to the horrible weather that comes during the only period I’m able
