I don't know what to say. I hope you washed your hands after?

Literally walked into the stream calf deep after I was done, dropped my tools & dog in, threw my gloves away. Shockingly the car did not smell at all on the way home.

Guys thanks for the hard hard hard work put in at CR!!! It's not easy moving rocks around, so greatly appreciated. Waiting on the TM day to chip in. Rode yesterday and the trails are a lot better then last week, especially that rail climb on the orange trail, that was tough coming down. thanks!!!

Switchbacks on orange can use some raking of pebbles/debris. Then maybe chopping down the high side to widen the turn radius and pull that dirt down to the lower side to firm up that footing. That's something that you can do with reasonable effort. Unfortunately you can't park at Gilbride right now as the lot is closed.

What about the Logan fire road? It's been one of my favorite climbs lately, and it's in dire shape. Rideable from Chimney Rock Road down to the first junction with Red but above that it's a Martian landscape.

I will defer to @Kirt on that. I am not even sure who owns it. I tend to doubt anyone will care if you make it less Martian.

I have a few ideas on the red trail - will work with @Kirt so he has info for the park.

Just to size it up a bit more.

if you can make a 24" muddy step-up with two pedal strokes, it is rideable left to right.
not where the bike is, more the right-bottom of 2nd the pic, just off the right of the first..

I used to be able to hit that one rock and clear the water. Yesterday I just pictured all my teeth scattered on the other side.

One more pic - this is the first water crossing on upper blue going clockwise - after the TTF.
It is somewhat rideable, but would gain from some shaping/easing the sides

There are many spots in CR where it is a dry bed when it stops raining. bikes and hikers slowly wear it in.

I finally got a chance to pitch in today. Took advantage of a large gap between meetings to get out there and clean up the Orange Switchbacks as our fearless leaders instructed me. Gilbride lot still closed so had to park at ballfields and hike over - and I took the long way walking down most of Gilbride just to avoid "the shithole". Still a pretty short hike in. All the switchbacks were cleaned and widened for your carving pleasure.
